Don't forget your insect rep either folks, summer evenings tend to be quite insecty and it's not nice to be covered in itchy bumps.

MB - Don't kick yourself about organisation, this is a VERY well organised meet. Remember how I organise the christmas bash, all I do is announce when and where and that's about it ;)

I'll be stocking up on every kind of insect repellent known to mankind and going to the doctors to see if they've got any ideas for something better. Ooh and allergy tablets ;)

I'm really new to this camping business so can any one help me as to what i might need to bring? My mate has backed out on me this morning so it looks like i'm coming on my own - again !

Anyway, a list would great :)

That's not entirely true - you do at least have a tent. :D

God knows how I'm going to get on with this. I've been camping before, but it was 15 years ago and was an organised trip (where pretty much everything was provided).

I have to admit I'm feeling both :D and :eek: about this, as I'm sure are a lot of other people.

However, it's not like we're going somewhere where the nearest civilisation is days away. There is always a way out if things go pear shaped (not that they will).

MB - don't fret over the organisation. These things have a way of taking care of themselves, and too much planning can cause just as many headaches as too little.

Right now, there is only one thing I personally really don't want - and that's weather like today. I don't like this sort of heat, and there's no aircon on a campsite. I might have to reconsider my plans if it's like this. :(

Finally, another important reminder. While you're getting insect repellant, don't forget the sun protection. Frazzled OcUK'ers would not be good.

Neither yet - Just looking forward to it, I'm a pretty shy kind of guy so I expect I'll just sit in a corner by myself, mumbling into a beer.
