So am I taking Zirax and Mr Huddy, or is Zirax sharing with Mr Huddy, or what's happening. I'm a bit confused now :dunno:

You just want to snuggle up with Princess don't you? :p

\o/ :D

I haven't done any camping for about 5/6 years when I went treking in north india - this is going to be fun! It'll be nice not to have to hunt, kill, skin and gut my own food though - it's a tedious process. And I'm glad this isn't going to reflect the survival weekend I had to endure in Sweden 8 years ago!

I can't wait! :D

Thanks Feek..I'll speak to Zirax and hopefully get something sorted soon. I may take you up on your offer because I don't have a car and the motorbike is off road atm. When are you thinking of leaving on the Friday and leaving camp on the monday?

It's a fair drive down - I reckon about 360 miles from mine to the destination so I'm planning on leaving towards the end of rush hour for a mid afternoon arrival on the Friday. I'll warn you though that I'm not the speed demon I used to be, and since having cruise control fitted I tend to sit at around 75MPH on autopilot so if the idea of a cruise rather than a race appeals, then I'm your man!

Not sure about heading back - I've got the two weeks off so I'd not planned any specific departure time as I don't have to be up for work the next day ;)

Not been on msn much during the day as I have entered the world of work  .... it gets better... at the council being an office monkey. Until a graduate job starts in Sept anyway.

I will probably be driving down, not 100% on whether I would be coming back Sunday or Monday. I can imagine heading back home Sunday evening unless something is planned.

Kate has Monday off and an early finish Friday, so we are in for the duration - 2/3 nights of camping mania

I booked the Friday and the Monday off in my new job at the interview :p

2x Sombreros hath been ordered for Pigmo

Hmm. I just tried to put 'St Petrox' into my GPS software, and it doesn't know where that is, so I've had to use some nearby placenames and some logic to get to the right place on the map.

Items I still need: insect repellant, small coolbox, batteries, few drinks/snacks, poncho. Think I've got everything else covered now. I hope.

Now, on another topic, I've had approval for my entertainment plan. It'll take about two hours, possibly Saturday night.

Please, I plan on splitting us up into about five groups, and will need one digital camera per group. These cameras will need good video recording capability (including sound), and enough memory card (and battery) capacity for 10 minutes of video. Camcorders are OK if they record to memory card (I won't have facilities to deal with tapes). Any offers? :)

I will be bringing two cameras, both of which are more than capable of 10 minutes video, if required (not sure about sound quality though, will test them when I get back to dry land in about a fortnight - should be alright though, two good quality cameras).

All I'm missing is insect repellant and sun-cream, everything else is accounted for (except Tequilla etc., which I will pick up in Cardiff rather than lug it on the plane).

Stan :)

According to the OS map, St Petrox consists of:
- a church
- a campsite
- a building.

Cant miss it! So long as you can find St Petrox.:D

Wow, that was quick, all the camping gear arrived this morning just as I was leaving for work  :D

Will probably have to wait until the weekend to set the tent up and have a peek. The sleeping bag is much bigger than I expected

Oh, and I picked up a rubber mallet for £2. No brainer at that price :)
