Is there space for a little Mrs Flibster and a not so little Mr Flibster to join in the fun and festivities.

And as we have left it so late (I thought Mr Flib had already answered!), I have a feeling that there is no room at the farm. Could you let me have the campsite info again - I'm sure it is somewhere in the 35 pages! but I'm have trouble finding it.

Thanks,
Mrs Flibster

No, thats fine, we'll make room for you :)

Ok i knew it when i said it that i would jinx myself and would you guess it i have. The house is likely to be completing on the weekend of the meet :( Even if it doesn't i will be packing all the stuff for moving and leaving this area of the country and returning back home to Scotland as it is time to do something i want to do when i have the chance.

If anyone wants to know more of the reasons read the blog in my link as it explains all. I will therefore have to miss this meet :( Future meets will be attended though so i will return. Suppose this means a farewell bash to Kent now sometime as well for the Kent people and nearby forum people.

:( Sorry to hear that dude.

Good luck with moving back to the old country :)

I'll look forward to the bye bye SCM meet ;)

In answer to an earlier question I haven't sorted out anything for Saturday and Sunday during the day, as I said I am open to sugestions, this isn't my weekend its everyones. The sort of things we could do are

Go to Oakwood theme park
Go for a walk on the beaches
Find a nice pub for lunch
Go to Tenby and buy buckets and spades
Go to a local castle
Get drunk
Go swimming in the sea
Walk the dogs
Tease Piggy and Desmo

Its a very flexible agenda and as its not my locality then I won't be organising things too much because I don't really know whats available

Whats the chances of being able to park/camp at yours Matt? I may be able to make the Friday night right through the weekend afterall and would gladly give someone a lift in between Cardiff and the in between areas.

Perfectly possible, we're not turning people away and as everyone else is going to camp at the 'rents then you'd be lonely at the campsite. I am starting to get to a stage where we might have to consider drawing a line. Its tuning into a mini Glastonbury

Right I've been looking into the events for the Saturday.

The general concensus is that it would be good to go to the Oakwood Theme Park which is Wales answer to Alton Towers (read: smaller, wetter and not as good :p).

I though maybe we could be there for 12 and then book the bowling alley next door for maybe 4 or 5pm.

Prices are as follows:

Standard Ticket (10 plus) £13.75

but

Pre-booked coach parties and groups over 20 people*** £11.75

(***All groups must be paid for in one transaction.)

I'm not sure if I want to go through the hassle of getting people to send me the money to get in so I can book it all in a single transaction, what do we think, are you bothered to do this to save £2 each?

Bowling can be pre booked and we can have a lane for 1 hour for 6 people for £20 which seems like a good deal :). Do we want 1 or 2 hours? I don't really remember how long it takes 6 people to bowl 2/3 games.

We can then go on to do the Crystal Maze thing and then back to the house for drinks and BBQ.

TBH mate I wouldn't bother with the group booking to save £2 each. It'll only end in a mess with people owing money :o

Thats what I thought.

Desmo, can you ask Piggy how long we need to go around Oakwood at that time of the year? I'm sure she said she had been there, from what she said 4/5 hours sounded ample and starting at 12 would be fine to give us time to wake up have breakfast and get there.

Anyone else? I think your right bearing in mind we'll have walked around Oakwood for a few hours before hand and played on the machines there.

An hours bowling with 6 to a lane will be ~£2.86 each for 35 people, cheap eh? Those Welshies will kill for hard English currency you know, might have to try a bit of bartering when we're there too, if i can work out the lingo.

You do all know that you can't drink the water there don't you? Your better off sticking to beer and don't kiss any of the locals either they have a strange effect on OcUKers and we've already lost one member under those circumstances.

What times is the Crystal Maze open? Is that like an evening thing or something  How long is it likely to take? It does make the Saturday rather packed.. what do we intend doing on the Sunday? We could always shift bowling to the sunday?

Bowling, Crystal maze and Oakwood are all in the same place about 30 miles from the house.

I am quite open to what we do on the Sunday, I think that maybe as we are in a different country we should do something cultural like eat Lava bread and do close harmony singing, or failing that go for a nice walk in the countryside. But I'll take sugestions.
