The Arran Amarone cask.
I have one as well..about half way through it...its bottled at 50% and I find it needs just a tiny bit of water to really open it upI've got a bottle of that in the cupboard - it's really rather tasty. Personally though I prefer the Mackmyra Skordetid Amarone cask.
A few decent whisky deals, for a change, on the Amazon deal of the day today. The picks for me are the Lagavulin 16 for £38.49, Auchentoshan 3 Wood for £27.50 and the Dalmore 12 gift pack for £34.99.
How is the Glendronach Parliament, is it worth the money? I quite fancy a bottle but haven't had the chance to try it yet.
their distillery bottles have been poorAnyone tried the new Mortlach range? Hopefully a return to form for my favourite distillery.
Are you thinking about getting it to drink, or as a potential investment? That price is a bit higher than it used to go for, but it was discontinued in 2016. I can't see there being that much of an interest in it that the price will go up dramatically, although it probably will a bit. When all is said and done though it is still just a 12 year old Irish blended whiskey, so I doubt there is a market that would pay a lot for it, no matter how rare it gets.I'm a whiskey novice and need some advice. I recently read a whiskey blog about how to find a decent whiskey at a decent price. One of the tips it gave was to always look for whiskey when your abroad. So, as I have moved to France a few years ago, I thought I'd do just that. A local supermarket here has a shelf full of Jameson 12 year special reserve. As I understand Jameson have discontinued this .Its obviously old stock they've put back out for Xmas. It's retailing at 32.29 euros for 70cl. So what's your opinion on this? Is it a good price and should I buy some?

best mortlach I have had recently was from Gordon&Macphail...well aged and keeping it simple, makes for a lovely dram
