Unless you need it for HDR10+ support and Apple Music Sing (lol), then I’d say no.
Then no as that TV doesn't do HDR10+, it's a Samsung thing IIRC.
Thanks guys, I thought as much.

How are you planning to run a VPN on the AppleTV?Can anyone recommend me a VPN service for the Apple TV4k, for watching the likes of HBO max for example?
So many to choose from.
Thanks
How are you planning to run a VPN on the AppleTV?
No. There is no VPN for Apple TV that you can install.Oh I thought you could do this from specific devices, so is there a VPN service where I don’t need to go into my router settings?
This is strange as I’m asking a similar question elsewhere and no one has mentioned what you guys just said. There aren’t any VPN apps for the AppleTV so the only way to do it would be via your router.
Ask them what VPN app they have installed on the AppleTV.This is strange as I’m asking a similar question elsewhere and no one has mentioned what you guys just said.

The DNS thing mentioned above doesn’t really work. It’s not a VPN.
But that's not a VPN.
Yes, but there's a VM in the middle running a Plex server.Anyone use a NAS with their Apple TV for Infuse (or Plex)?
Looking for any recommendations for a simple plug and play solution that I can plug into my BT Superhub 2.
It absolutely does work as intended.Ask them what VPN app they have installed on the AppleTV.

I have SmartDNS setup so my ATV can access VUDU and HBO.
