** The Official 8800GT 512/256mb Review/Overclocking Thread **

OK just installed my Inno 3d put it straight in at 700/1000 & got 12003 3dmark 06, with a E6400 @ 3.3. Temp when finished 3dmark was 85.

Not bad considering the highest I scored with my GTS was 9700 :0

Honestly, I hate to sound like a Nvidia fanboy, but I wont be going back to ATi unless they pull something big out of bag.

HL2:EP2, I use 16xQCSAA
TF2: same
CSS: same
Portal: same
Lost Planet: 8XAA
UT3, havent tried AA, but 4x proberbly, I assume 8x or higher will be too much of a hit?
GTA: Level 3, crap performance in that game, has a problem with high end cards.

I'll see what other games I have, I'll try crysis sometime with 4xAA, cba with it yet far too big to download, brilliant card tho, 4xAA-8xAA causes slight lag in some of those games.

Cheers for that. What res are you on?

Ouch sound's way to hot to me. for a 65nm chip also :o

My GTX doesnt even hit anywhere near that OC'd under load

You GTX has a good cooler on, the GT's aint exactly good, it may be 65nm but its got more transistors packed into it and higher clocks, but mine dont go over 85 load I rekon.

Mines installed and I have broken 15k on 06 better change my sig :D

Straight in at 700/2000 XFX version:D

I have smashed my last score with the same cpu speed of 3.6ghz and a 8800 GTS

Whats everyones temps like? Mine hits 90 under load..

Mine nerver goes above 75c, then again i have set the fan to hit 70% when it hits 3D, whilst yours is stock and that usualy means the fan will be at 40-50% up to 90c, stock is nice on the ear but bad for the temps.

Tom, can you run the lost coast bench and post up your results.
