The good old 8800 GTX card is getting closer to becoming a museum artifact
Lol, the GTX is still the second fastest card available and 10~20% faster than a GT, and all the reviews in the world won't make it slower than a GT.
It's certainly not the best financial deal available, and the GT is great news for anyone that doesn't already have an 8800, but I'm sure there are plenty of GTX\Ultra owners (like myself) that wouldn't bother with the hassle of selling off their card and downgrading performance in the hope of making back some money :).

I thinks its all about how much they will be worth when the GTS comes out.

How much have they lost in value since the GT launch? .....

not too shabby for all at stock. running 2gb of ram as well. thats on all settings available set to 'HIGH', including post processings, shadows, etc etc.

next ill do it with the settings set to 'VERY HIGH'. test done with no AA and at 1680x1050 res
Hi mate,

can you run a few tests for me pls? If your up for it I will tell you what I need. Btw it looks like you have aborted that bench run because it normally runs/loops itself four times?

GTX are worth about 250 tops now if you're lucky enough to find someone to buy it.

once the word about the GT spreads to the layman + the revised GTS launches, which won't be long, they'll be worth sub 200 for sure.

Big Wayne, I'm gonna be run that Bench today too in XP with 1 card, then again with 2 cards, then tonight, the same again but on Vista.
Is it the GPU benchmark people are using I assume?

Not much TBH, I've already had offers of £250-275 for mine but I doubt they'll be worth anywhere near that for much longer. Like you said they're also bound to depreciate quick when the new GTS comes out too.

I think you would be very lucky to get that now and thats if you can sell it.

£230-£250 and dropping.

noticed that the shader speed on the alpha dog is 1650 v 1500 on the EVGA SC. Have people been finding it relatively easy to achieve 1650 on other cards?

Benchmarking

Been working on this for 3 hours, here's the results. This was all done on my system with no hardware changes between the 2 OSs, running on a Dualboot. This is with AA turned up to x4, it shows how poor Vista is compared to XP for gaming and particularly for SLI - it was rubbish in Vista.
