noticed that the shader speed on the alpha dog is 1650 v 1500 on the EVGA SC. Have people been finding it relatively easy to achieve 1650 on other cards?

The default shader clock on evga sc is 1625 the description on the oc site is wrong.

Thats not really custom, they've just stuck an old Zalman cooler on it and not even bothered to cool the memory :/

I have a question about the 8800 GT and the "Thermalright HR-03 Rev.A" cooler. Basically,how much space does the card take up with this cooler attached? 2 slots or more? I ask because I have limited space.

Example:

GPU Here ------
Free Slot ------
Sound Card -----

Visually, it looks like it takes up a huge amount of space, but it may be an illusion! (I'm hoping!)

EDIT: Also, does the "Titan Elena TTC-CSC90TZ TEC VGA Cooler" fit on the GT? That looks like a nice meaty cooler.

not too shabby for all at stock. running 2gb of ram as well. thats on all settings available set to 'HIGH', including post processings, shadows, etc etc.

next ill do it with the settings set to 'VERY HIGH'. test done with no AA and at 1680x1050 res

edit: wow you really cant see that properly. ill crop whats needed

I really just can't get an answer for this. I notice GPU-Z displays x16@x8 for you as it does for me. I have the BFG OC version and have tried it in both PCI-E slots on my mobo but it doesn't make any difference.

Could some clever person please tell me why it does not display x16@x16?

Check your BIOS settings, you might have the link width set a x8 instead of x16.
