I'm really keen to get one of these Accelero S1 coolers but I will probably have to wait until next week for it to arrive so I was wondering if anyone knew whether the Accelero X1 will fit the 8800GT?

I'm not sure what compatibility I'm looking for in a cooler? is it NVIDIA 7800 series yeah? :D

Another run of 3D06, max temp 45c, with the card clocked as shown.

Better clocks, and seems more stable with the S1,

heh i gotta say i'm quite pleased...just done "the" swap for gts 640mb > gt and seem to be about 4-5 fps up in any given situation in crysis and i've not even overclocked it yet while the gts640mb was clocked reasonably higher than stock too.

I've noticed COD4 does not like the gfx card being overclocked - it will randomly CTD with a message saying COD4 stopped working etc. I revert to default factory overclocks and all is well.

Will just leave it on stock oc tbh.

Check your BIOS settings, you might have the link width set a x8 instead of x16.

Have searched and searched in the bios for where i can check this but just can't find it. Could be because this feature doesn't exist in my crappy P5NSLI?

Does anyone know if x16@x16 actually makes any difference compared to x16@x8?

That is because the oveclock is not stable.

A game can't sense if your card is oveclocked or not.

Lower your clocks a notch and try again.

They're good these GT's yknow :p Seems a noticable improvement over the 640gts on everything i tend to play. Soon after i'd got it I clocked it @ 702 / 1980 / 1750 and it seems to have no troubles at all so i'll just leave it at that.
