** The Official 8800GT 512/256mb Review/Overclocking Thread **

Here you go.

Very sexy looking and makes the large cooler of the GTX look antique.

I love how sleek the coolers are on these but I would much prefer a dual slot config.

The heat from the stock cooler just seems to be going no where apart from leaking out into your case and affecting everything else.

I would hardly call 1.62 ridiculous voltage lmao Bless:D

It wasn't heat with load temps of 60c you noob...:p

Who's the noob?

Your the one that killed the hardware :D

And your yet to beat my score... ;)

Bear in mind I have a Duo before you chime out about "pwning" it :D

With a nice 120mm front and 120mm back I doubt this will be an issue.

You have a Quad up to 3.8Ghz which gives you an easy 2000+ point advantage, tables would be turned if I plumped a quad in clock for clock ;)

You got a comparison link to Asgards?

Also my setup is totally Air :D

Would they really though?

The price for performance with these GT's is just staggering.

A GTX is no longer elite for the money.

No point in buying a GTX for 300 big ones now

Ok folks, another +1k after ocing my cpu and installing new forceware drivers, looks like I'm CPU "speed" limited in benches now!

With the 8800GTS OC'd and cpu at the same speed as above I used to get 10,400 so this card is 2000 points better at its stock speed which is nice - should be a good percentage better in games using this as a matching point.

Time for Crysis!

I'd be looking at 15k with a quad clock for clock. :) (Roll on Penryn not splashing out on G0's which will soon be old tech ;))

Course a GTX aint worth buying anymore, doesn't mean mines going anywhere though :p

So people are having no problems getting it to 700/2000? I'm on the decision of either ordering now from a danish retailer and having it on thursday, or waiting for them to stock the 700mhz/2000mhz Zotac one so i have that guarantee, but my brain is really telling me "dude, all made the same place, go get", please just confirm that this is also true on these ones? And no unfortunately i can't get this one from OcUK, my dad is paying and he wants it though a danish retailer, oh well, at least with him paying i can get an IP35 pro from OcUK, so everyone's glad :D

Yep that's what i was thinking based on some of the reviews and stuff :)
I'd really like to get over 12K, my now-former GTS got 11K and that's absolutely fine but i'd just like to get maximum output :)
People in here getting nice clocks though :)

But yeah i'm gonna order a Zotac slightly overclocked one tommorow for 12£ less than what the heavilty overclocked one will cost, and then play around with it, will post results, thanks :)

Alright, well that's probably not top-cherry-picked then, and i should have same results, thanks, will be stalking this thread for a while anyway :P
