Has Apple ever explained why they don't make black airpods?

Because Apple. And they're stubborn.

I'm tempted to try a pair of the Pro 2's out. I can't get the fit right on my Beats Fit Pro, so might see what the AirPods Pro are like = does anyone know if you can return to the Apple Store for these like you can most other items?

It’s because pods are white, they’ve always been white. People can easily recognise them.

I’ve got these, and they’re good but the case is too large with no wireless charging and they don’t fit it my ears very well.

They fit fantastically for me. AirPods Pro fall out.

It’s probably because as far as products go, they are pretty boring and the update is iterative.

Without even having a pair you can probably summarise most reviews as:

Slightly better than the old ones which were pretty good.
Extra-small ear tips are a welcome addition.
Integrates exceptionally well with Apple’s ecosystem.
Still expensive and earphones which are £100 cheaper earphones are only slightly worse.


What do I win?

Reviews so far seem to suggest a decent improvement actually. Bigger than I expected. Will probably pick up a pair to see if they fit my ears or not. Transparency mode on the beats I’m using at the moment is really good, way better (more natural) than my Sony XM4 over ears.

My right AirPod Pro isn't charging anymore.

Not fully confirmed yet, but I think this was due to a dirty contact in the case itself. Probably when I lost them in a field for 24 hours.
