I'm just about to run Metro Exodus and RDR2 as those are games I have extended playtime on with the 6700K, that will give you a good idea of what to expect since the 4790k isn't far off that.
Thanks

Nice thanks for that, I guess I'm better off still getting a 3080/ti
Especially any noises etc you notice!
My LGA1700 Freezer 2 kit came yesterday and fits great (even though the Strix board itself is a pain with the massive heatsinks restricting things!!). Had to orientate the 'block' upside-down as it were (so the fan is at the bottom) as it just wouldn't fit properly otherwise but other than that it's great and giving good temps

DDR4 (lower end) vs Micron DDR5, both oc'd, compared in gaming from one our oc group guys who does work for this publication.
Another one of our guys is doing bdie testing so that'll be out maybe end of this week.
Well I can't read Russian, but the slides indicate he was able to overclock that DDR5 4800Mhz CL38 memory to 5400Mhz CL36
Was that fairly easy?
I only ask as that is the Ram I have waiting to be installed
