*** The official Apple Watch Series 9, 10 (and Ultra 2) thread (it has double tap and everything!) ***

I see. Thank you. I guess I'll have to get in contact with Smarty and see what they offer otherwise I'll have to change network for like the 100th time :D.

Smarty don’t offer it. Most third party providers don’t, dont think any of them do. Think you’ll have to go with the main providers to get it.

I'll have a hunt around. I guess Three would be the best option as Smarty use them as their network.
I would ask yourself if you really need it. I had it for one month and realised I didn’t use it.
Fair point. I don't really use my watch without a phone.

This is the important question. I put it on mine as soon as I got a cellular watch and I used it once, just to try it.

It was something like two years later I removed it, it was utterly useless for me as I never have my watch without my phone.

Thanks! I guess I'll skip it in that case.

The only time I use it is when I go for a run because I don't take my phone. It's still a nice to have rather than a must have, costs an extra £5 per month on my O2 sim only plan.

Not long after having my daughter I forgot my phone at home and needed to make a pretty urgent call. Luckily, I had the data plan on my Apple Watch so it can come in handy but it's very seldom I'm without my iPhone.

Has anyone suffered 'sticky' crown rotation on the Ultra? Mine goes from fine to sluggish often without rhyme or reason. Trying to figure out the root cause (moisture, temp, altitude...).

Not on the ultra but on the standard I have just had that issue. I stupidly wore it on a run on holiday in 35 degree heat. Sun tan lotion and sweat is a well documented cause of this. So I followed a youtube video of rinsing it in a bowl of warm water while turning the dial and it's been good ever since.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

Learn something new everyday. I've had this a few times and it's always happened when I've been in the gym.

I've not been wearing my Apple Watch Ultra because my stainless steel strap has been causing real irritation (underside of my wrist - it didn't for the first year). Before that, the sensor caused irritation which looked like a mild burn on the top side of my wrist. I had this once before with a previous apple watch but it happens very rarely.

Any suggestions on straps that shouldn't irritate? I'd prefer steel type one to match the watch but really anything that doesn't irritate would be fine.

The nylon straps are pretty friendly on sensitive skin and it’s what I use on my series 9 and Garmins. The ocean band I’m told is also good, friend of mine swears by it.

I've had this one for my series 4 and my ultra and it's nice and comfy. It's got a sliding adjustment on it, so easy to adjust to whatever's comfy, and it's elasticated.

Thanks. I've ordered one.
Cool - Let us know how you get on!

Doh, I forgot that thread existed.

Threw my toys out of the pram a bit when Garmin announced the new Fenix and said they aren’t updating the existing Epix Pro line with the features and new UI (even though it’s clearly capable of it). Decided to put the WatchOS beta on my Series 9 and forgotten how much I do like a proper smartwatch. Interested to see if the ‘Vitals’ and training load give me most of what I want from the Garmin.

Thinking about getting a watch, mostly for fitness sort of stuff as I'm quite enjoying Apple Fitness+

Makes sense to hold off considering a Series 9 or SE2 for now, right? I have a £25 voucher elsewhere so yeah...
