BTW in the latest Custom PC theres a few pages on adding usb devices to the Eee PC, notably BT and a USB memory stick

Anyone seen any 900 modding? Wondering what room you have in the bezel...

Can I ask are the two mouse buttons on the trackpad still one bar pivotting in the middle? That's one of the thing I didn't like about the 701 when I tried it in a store.
 
pardon my ignorance but is the shell still the same size? more specifically is the keyboard the same size as the 701?

to those owners, how is the keyboard - easy enough to touch type once adjusted?
 
The battery seams pretty poor tbh, I had mine fully charged yesterday and played around for about 1hour with the brightness on full and wifi on.

I was playing with goole earth which actually seamed a lot faster than it is on my desktop pc and as i said after about 1 hour it shut its self down.

The battery on mine is the 4400 on too. I've spied a 10400mah on an auction site

shell is slightly larger, keyboard is the same (from what i've read).

Every user-review i've read has a 4400mah battery, apparently it's because of the fire at the battery factory. Quite interesting response from Asus on the eeeuser forum

Will any early adopters for the 900 get any comeback battery-wise? I know review models were meant to have the same as the non-surf 701s...

Is the battery the same shape as on the 701 4G's?

I'll be selling mine and buying a 900 so I might swap the battery over if it is.
 
If the batteries are the same then those 10400mha batteries on Ebay are good. I get an easy 4hrs before it dips to 10%, thats in XP too. If on Linux you'd get another hour.
 
god i want one of these so badly!!!! been looking about the modding, putting a 4 usb hub inside so i can add a flash card,bluetooth, gps reciecver and still have one slot left for something, not too sure whether the black or white tho.... white seems cool cos its a bit liike a mac, but also its the standard colour of this product, however the black is the standard of ever other cover..... might have to paint it camo or soemthing :P just gotta wait for the black 20GB to be released and well see how much i get for my laptop that;'s being repaired.. graphics has gone completely on it so probably a write off as its almost 3 years old.....
