surely 32bit vista is holding that system back no?

and without checking, what drivers are others using to test these?
 
Hmm, the question will be, will there be any chance of 5850's and unlocking streams, I would say with yields as they are, initial thought would be no, but with yields so low and supposedly 4:1 ratio of 5870/s to 5850's then maybe not. Its quite possible the ones that work, work fine, and the ones that don't work, simply don't work and can't be salvaged as 5850's.

Last gen they had memory to significantly differentiate the performance between the cards, and cost, with the same memory, and probably cores capable of the same speed they had to cut SP's to cut performance. Would be very interesting if we got 5850's that could be unlocked.

Same memory and same memory type, waits for some nut on xtremesys to flash a 5870 bios to a 5850.
