Heads up for anyone that already has a card or is recieving one tommorow
8.66 RC6 Windows 7 Sep 14 Build
is available on the ATi site, these are slightly newer than the ones most reviewers used and probs newer than the ones on the CD
I am very impressed with the 5850 especially it's power consumption.
Will defo be my next card just got to wait and see what 3rd party coolers come along hopefully an accelero.
Err, no.Bear in mind that the 295 is a single PCB, dual GPU solution, like the 4870x2.
The 5850 is definitely the sensible choice, crossfired and clocked 5850s would be ridiculously quick at a very good price.
i'll try again.. anyone think all the 5870's will be able to use the voltage tweak software or only the ASUS ones?![]()
Virus I thought you were in love with the Asus 4890s and didn't like any of the others - weren't you tempted to wait for the Asus 5870 to be released ?
DisplayPort
There is the Wiki link explaining DisplayPort as the 5xxx series has one. I don't know if people wanted to know or not but it's handy suppose. I think that's the right one.
its also roumored that asus useing there tweaking program has got there 5870 cards to 1045core useing just 1.35v from 1.15v stock![]()
Erm.... not notice my post above? You don't need to use ASUS' program...
