Anyone have any key registration issues? Such as not being able to pull out your pistol or secondary item randomly once and a while. Like the game doesn't recognize your presses, so freaking annoying.

Well... After 9 hours, I'm giving up on the main game and may dip into portal on occasion for a quick blast. I've casually played every BF game since BF2, except hardline, and this is by far the worst effort. The main game has no redeeming features.

Pretty in places, but absolutely dreadful gameplay. Cheesy, clunky as **** superhero type nonsense. The maps are dire. Admittedly, you can have a good round or two focused on fighting over a couple of flags in one interesting sector, but once the flow of the game changes it turns into Jogging Simulator 2042.

It's 2021 and I can't even lie prone near a rock without the character having some sort of fit. The basic mechanics of the game are really, really badly executed.

Worst 50 pounds spent in 2021, and that includes the repair cost for putting petrol in my wife's diesel car.

After a number of hours in the main game I'm almost convinced the positions of players I encounter in game is 1 or 2 seconds behind where they actually are.
ADS is rubbish I get more accuracy with hipfire.
aiming is inconsistent.
settings don't save correctly.
auto spawn at the beginning of rounds when there is not enough vehicles is a terrible idea. lets go for a run!
maps are rubbish and you have a choice of spawning in the middle of nowhere at an uncontested flag and running to the action or spawn into a *********** and get shot in the back at the amazing spawn locations (D1, D2 at renewal is great example)
Its a great game for those team up in the mc5 bolte though. Just farm kills and speed off into the distance to auto repair.
 
I tried to get a refund even though 8n outside the automated process thought I would try
As ea slogan states they stand behind the qaulity of their games

Support could not give me a refund
Will be raising it higher

This game has come up with new catch 0hrase from the wife

Funny reading some of the comments on that long Angry Joe video.

"Their new fanbase is kids and dumb people with deep pockets or whose parents give them their credit card to shut them up. They dont care what real gamers think because the casual fans just like good graphics and explosions."

It's interesting regarding the performance, just whacked a 12900k into this system with a 3090, (from a 3960x) and I'm getting much better performance, probably about an extra 30fps. Takes it to 95-120 fps in 4k/high.

I've never ever seen an FPS game be this CPU dependant.
 
Well this is a mixed bag for sure. Overall I am enjoying playing, happy to sacrifice some graphical intensity for a fun BF experience. But the flaws in the game are very apparent and makes you wonder yet again how a AAA title can be released in this state. Staying away from the cynical views of profit over customer, the whole title reeks of developers not being able to meet their deadlines and toning down lots of functions, just to get it out.

  • The hit box is so inconsistent - one server the hit box works - I am by far from good, but I do know that unloading a whole clip for 15% damage vs one shot death is not right. Server performance might have a lot to do with a whole bunch of issues.
  • Key strokes no registering - be is parachute, changing weapon, there is a distinct lag.
  • The lack of cover for infantry - can compete against those boltes, choppers, actually ALL VEHICLES!
  • Spawning in dead mans land - not sure if I find this amusing or frustrating - spawning right in front of a tank or 34 enemies.
Those are the big hitters for me, the rest feels like tone (odd cut scenes, no specialists, running, oh god the running!!). Still, there is a certain joy from watching 128 players throw themselves to a single objective even if I die a lot in the melee.

I do hope the devs manage to patch the big hit issues as there is a game that is worth playing for a while underneath - deep underneath, but still it is there :)

See you on the battlefield - I will be the one running marathons and then dying without firing a shot :D

Just went from a 8700k @ 5g to a 12700k @ stock and I'm getting another 25fps with a 3090

Looking at usage the 8700 sat around 60-80% so hardly maxed but the 12700k sits between 20-40%
 
hit reg is mostly sorted could be slightly tighter on the spread but a lot more happy engaging and beating multiple oponents

gun play is getting there but lots of tweaking in the mouse settings to get it right

lots of bugs to long to list my new least favorite is leaving a vehicle and not being able to aim toggle

no scoreboard
no continuous servers
no server browser

all major problems if you ever want to play with friends outside your squad which is impossible at the minute and will hurt the game

no voip which makes it very hard to meet new people to recruit and play with

vehicle spawn way to high

small arms should be able to hurt the little bird and with a sniper you should be able to shoot the pilot out

the same goes for all jets and helis with the anti material rifle if should be able to shoot out a pilot

armour peircing rounds dont penetrate cover or do anything really

factions !!!!! the next youtuber or dev who dares to use the word factions needs to be taken out the back and shot factions do not exist in this game in anyway shape or form

any pretense about Russia or US marines is ****** attack of the clones outside the first cutscene

Yeah.

I even tried everything on ultra last night and I was getting the exact same FPS and it looked really good.. Although turning ray tracing on really does hammer it regardless of quality, I probably lose about 30-40 fps just from enabling that alone.

but there are no russians or USA its just the same few guys on both sides

a couple of vehicle skins and a voice over

no effort has been made to have faction specific gimps (specialists ) how hard would it have been to make some for each side with the same skills

short cutting and pathetic
