Fury set to receive a take it or leave it offer from the Saudis. Take it or relinquish the belt.

As much as I "like" Fury it has become a bit of a circus now.

Boxer's bang on about their legacy, he may ruin his if he's not careful.

This is outside of the work he has done socially which will never be broken. But he has to respect boxing and quite simply, get on with it.

I used to like Fury but I think his mask has well and truly slipped now.

I think he’s bad for the sport and wouldn’t be upset if he did actually retire, although I’d rather Usyk beat him so we can have a definitive conclusion.

This is just my opinion though.

This post is not going to be objective in the slightest but...

Legacy? What legacy has Fury got? He's got a handful of decent wins. His entire carer is based of beating Wladamir, which you have to give him credit for but how many times have you gone back to watch that fight? And Wilder (in return, which top fighters did he ever beat?)

As for his work outside of boxing? Claims to be a mental health ambassador but takes every opportunity to take the **** at other fighters expense, claims to donate purses to charity (to be fair he did donate a giant £10k to Fwank's charity) and give the shoes to the homeless of off his own feet...

Oh and lets not forget he is a drug cheat.

It's no mistake I'm not Fury's biggest fan around these parts :p

A lot (a few) of my friends have met Fury outside of boxing and couldn't speak highly enough of him.

So I do respect what he is doing.

Now back to boxing. If he is not willing to box then what more can you do?

It will, and to some extent already has, ruin his reputation.

Nothing really that can be further said than that.

On a different note, as a punter, just get on with it and respect the sport.

To qualify that against other sports. You don't see any football teams not playing each other as you know, they might get beaten.

Same goes for rugby, snooker, tennis and whatever other sport that springs to mind.

So yeh, respect the sport and just get on with it!

I’ve seen interviews where he is very humble, engaging and down to earth and I’ve heard people talk highly of him. The problem is this persona he portrays, it’s the opposite it brings out the worst side in him and it’s completely boring and predictable. He lies or contradicts himself every other sentence and people have grown tired of it.

I would have no problem with him coming out and saying “I’m happy to fight Usyk but the money just isn’t right for either of us right now, we are going delay the fight until we can get what we both deserve in Saudi”. No one would have a problem with that but instead we get this circus where he tries to turn public opinion in his favour at the expense of his opponent, be it AJ or Usyk.

No one wants to hear it. Put up or shut up, fight the best or get outski’s. Simple.

Yup that's the thing. I understand the sport is entertainment first and fighters need to have a bit of character to have us invested in them and he probably is a decent guy in his day-to-day life. But the Tyson he puts out into the world is just a clown and it's like he didn't fall far from his eye-gouging Father.

I only really like Peter, to be honest.

I wasn’t going to post again about Fury because everyone is either fed with hearing about him or still in denial. Regardless I couldn’t let Hatmans Gareth A Davis and Bricktop impressions go unseen.

He does such good impressions. I'll have a listen on my way home.

His Nigel Benn one recently had me in stiches

About halfway through the video

For anyone that may not of seen this, it’s perfectly captures why the Prince was so highly regarded and still is. Classic.
Great fight. I love in the fight prior after winning he sat down with Kelly, put his arm around him and said "I'm going to knock you spark out". Love the Prince. One of my favourite fighters. You can criticise aspects of his career but he was pure entertainment from the ring walk, the show boating and devastating power. A one of one.

Good Sky mini documentary on this fight.

Yeah he was a proper showman. It's why I loved that Benn Whittaker paid homage to him in his last fight with both the entrance and showboating.
Naz was just that guy. A dream fight would've been Prince vs Pretty Boy Floyd.
