Everyone should just boycott events like these. Unfortunately that won't happen and they'll likely make a pretty penny.
Frank will spin it, they did offer Aj the the fight at the last minute again after all, Zhang, who was never free to fight Fury ducked him for the Joyce rematch and John the local cab driver got injured at the last minute so Fury had no choice.

£30+ ppv here we come.

Heavyweight boxing is in such a weird state, so many fights that would be great - with lots of money for the fighters and promoters, but nothing is happening.

AJ’s fighting Whyte in August and then Wilder in December. Usyk is fighting Dubois in August but apparently Fury won’t be fighting him in December so he has an unknown opponent for then. Joyce is fighting Zhang in September. Wilder should be fighting Ruiz Jr but it’s not looking great.

And Fury the current WBC and lineal Champion is fighting a guy who’s never boxed before in his life.

Oh ok

If all of that is confirmed at least we hopefully have something to look forward to!

Yeah just ignore Fury. He's the reason the heavyweight division is on hold because he gets a free pass to do a bloody exhibition... he needs to vacate or be forced into the ring with the small middleweight he's scared of.

Kambosos Jr vs Maxi Hughes on the 22nd also. Navarette vs Valdez on the 13th August, Beterbiev vs Smith the week after. Aj vs Whyte on the 12th? Usyk vs Dubois on the 26th. Joyce vs Zhang and Canelo vs Charlo in September. Plus more.

The next 2-3 months is stacked.

Was about to contest your prediction of Joshua vs Whyte but moments later saw it announced! So apologies!
At least AJ is fighting again inside 4 months. One of his big issues has been the bouts of inactivity even when factor in COVID. He should have far too much for Whyte. In fact how Whyte is still getting these big pay days is a mystery in itself. Like his last fight, he needs to look good or Deontay will destroy him.

It’s been a long time in the making but took what seemed like forever to announce. Not sure what you mean by Whyte still getting these paydays. The last ‘payday’ was against Fury in which Whyte was long overdue his shot at the WBC belt, after being the no1 ranked fighter for about 5 years due to the WBC allowing its champions to cherry pick their opponents. Whyte is still a name even if his best days are now behind him, never ducks and always comes to fight, albeit he was pretty poor against Fury.

AJ V Whyte a fight 'slightly' less pointless than Fury V Chisora 3 only slightly though! One last cash out for Whyte before riding off into the sunset. Charging £27 PPV on DAZN for it is mega lols though! You'd get a top fight for £15-£20 back in the day, now a glorified tune up fight is £27.

The AJ Whyte fight is perfect for the situations that are in play. It’s enough jeopardy to be interesting, yet not enough for the Saudis to veto it due to the potential match up in December.

It’s far more compelling than Fury/Chisora 3, Fury/Ngannou that will be £lol for ppv and more compelling than Wilder/Helanius was.

Don’t like the price either so I won’t be paying it. But I will watch if I can find a way.

Don't think this is a fight AJ should've taken without another fight or two first.

He was way too reserved in his last fight and if he goes in to this fight with the same attitude, Whyte's likely to maul him, wear him down then stop him.
