I too am planning on heading to Thruxton for the next round of the BTCC, and we normally sit at the complex too. I'll be the one there with a 12-week old baby boy, assuming the weather isn't too extreme

I wonder if they will have the massive screen opposite, that they had there a few years ago. That was ideal for seeing the rest of the action..

I can't remember where I read it now but it did say the big screen will be there.

Yeah there's one at the final chicane in front of the grandstand, but there isn't one in front of the Complex.

im driving up from okehampton so only a couple of hours, so can leave at a civilised time! taking my girlfriend, will be her first motorsport event apart from Goodwood, hopefully will be good weather!!!

Looking forward to this meeting as the action has been great so far this season, seems to be bigger crowds each time i go aswell, been going to Brands, Donnington and Thruxton over the last 8 years and has never failed to be a great day!!

Tickets have arrived but no car park pass thing ?

Did any of you lot who went to Thruxton last year get a car park pass (I think it says 'A' or something)

I haven't been for 3 years so i cant remember.

The weather forecast looks appalling for Sunday, which will put a stop to my trip

Whilst rain may introduce an exciting race, I don't really want to spend 8 hours in the rain or sat in cold grandstands

Im really looking forward to it. The rain makes it even better for me. Although I will probably be miserable after im sat there for 30 minutes.

Indeed, i was going to go but after looking at the forcast i think ill enjoy it more in the comfort of my warm dry living room!

forecast has changed a few times in last 48hours so fingers crossed it will change to be slightly better...tickets in hand so no stopping me

I thought that once too when I had some free tickets to the Renault cup at Silverstone a few years ago. The rain makes it cold, and the only areas of cover are in raised COLD grandstands. If it's windy, the grandstands don't keep you dry any way.

Never again for me
