I've never had an android so im struggling to follow what a lot of the reviewers are saying about the Umi.

Does it come without Android installed and you're supposed to install one flavor of Android you're comfortable with?

Can you just install stock Android directly from google or something? I'm quite liking the idea of this phone to tide me over for a year while the Xperia Z5 drops in price or the SD 820 version is released but don't wanna leap before I look so to speak!

Don't quote me, but I guess the same as any other android phone, unlock the bootloader, move the rom to the root directory on the phone, and install from bootloader.
