either way 8 x 531 stable (done & dusted) :D

see if you can sort your stuff, im sure you can do it (if your cpu is up to it lol).

I should have kept my ES 6600, knowing my luck id probably be stuck in
between yours and er's 3.94 & 3.82 ;)

Inital testing of the new rev P5W will start tonight :p

Lol just realised my cpu is idleing at 30 with my tuniq at full power, and 34 with it running silently. Quality stuff...... Il seee what load temps are later and will push my overclock back towards 3.6ghz as im willing to feed it over 1.5V now.

Il try feeding my Team ram 2.45V and seeing if i can drop the timings much more :D

Thats a nice clock for a 6300

Now at 4ghz!

Is it save to run ds3 @400 fsb without a fan on the nb heatsink.I have stock voltage on the chipset. Does the aiflow in the case make any difference because I have Antec 900 with all fans on high. I don't want break anything because I'm not going to chance my system for at least year. Should I get a fan to the heatsink? Any experiences?

You should be ok if you have nice airflow in your case.

400 FSB is not that high for the DS3 so it should be fine.

If you feel like adding a fan it won't do any harm and its simple enough to do.

What kind of fan should I get? And how and where I install it?Thanks for the reply.

You could fit any fan you liked and fit it over the NB with a Zalman fan bracket.

Or you could screw down a 40 mm fan directly on the NB heastisnk

If I buy a 40mm how should I mount it. The nb is under the heatsink near the cpu, right?

Just screw the fan down on the heatsink gently in between the grooves.

I would just use a fan bracket personally say a 120mm or 92mm fan blowing directly down over it.

my guess would be water buildup in the cpu socket like I told you about.. If you've made the decision to do it then you might as well go the whole hog and stick plenty of dielectric grease in your socket (grease your socket?? oo-er).

Besides, like we discussed it doesn't neccessarily mean you invalidate your warranty ;)

For the sake of your 8800 I would probably stick a bit of tissue/cloth on top of it until you are sure the socket isn't leaking, make sure you screw the head down nice and tight so the armaflex is really under pressure and you should be fine.

Yes, I will make sure I lube my hole.
