This is going to sound stupid, but what's the best process for getting a fire team together? Last night i was thinking, fancy some PVP. The ingame map told me 3 friends were playing crucible.... but it didnt say who. Only way I have found to figure out what people are doing is to go to friends list and one by one go into people's details to find where they are!

As for strikes and raids, do you simply just invite people one by one in friends list to see if they fancy one.... seems a little spammy and pestering.

Please Bungie give us Clan Chat

Aside from that really enjoying the game and i'm not generally an FPS fan. Looking forward to trying out the lvl20 content
 
Yea it does seem to be lacking a bit! I wanted to do the same last night but couldn't tell if people were in missions, strikes or just afk at tower.
 
You could see what friends were doing from the roster page in options.

At least it did when I looked earlier it would say if they were on a strike/raid and what planet.

I'd be up for some raids etc. I've only just started Venus myself and haven't done any raids yet! Level 14 at the moment.
 
So I'm reading people are hitting the endgame, and surprisingly it's more of the same inse and repeat as the rest of the game.

With regards reviews from the big boys, I do wonder if 'fans' of the game will retaliate with "but you haven't given it enough time to experience everything, how can you give it X score".
 
With this game it looks like they have made sure to make a solid starting platform, something that a lot of the failed mmo's didn't and failed.
Afterall they can always bring in good content but if they'd have started with a poor engine/gameplay mechanics then it would have been harder to sort that out.

WOW started small and has built up into something massive, they've added all sorts to that. Activision should know about these type of games owning blizzard and if needs be Blizzard could probably help out bungie in the mmo department.

I like what I've played and just hope they fetch some good content, in a few years it might be massive content wise. They need to spend what they earn back into the game.

I can hope I suppose.

Problem is now much does that cost ?

The game is £40, the expansion pack is £35, its a lot of money.
 
So what is the deal with Destiny expansions?

I sort of want to try out the game, but if it's gonna be a whole CoD/BF: Premium-like DLC fest virtually from launch, count me out.

Yeah that's the only thing to watch for because the big companies like to take take take.

They probably ripped a lot of the good stuff to sell on later. I just hope some of the backlash (content wise) makes them give more free updates.

It can either be DLC packs or sub based.

I wouldn't mind one or the other as long as you got regular big updates.

WOW has lasted a long time on both expansions and a subscription formula but people are now starting to give up on it (albeit after many years of playing).

Like I say I enjoy it but before I buy anything content wise it will have to be substantial.
 
Does the Digital Guardian Edition come with the season pass? I was under the impression it did but it looks like it doesn't, and just comes with two expansion packs whenever they are released. Can't see a way in game to check what content I've got.
 
GTA5 has in game cash but all DLC have been free, more missions, content, vehicles etc. All of which you can get without using real money.

I actually just this minute sold my bundle copy to a work colleague for £35. CEX was buying it for £38 on Tuesday evening, £35 last night. It'll be £30 by next week I reckon. Which means I got my White PS4 for £282.


I know I've only played 3 levels but it is all the same.

The side kick is that guy from Game of Thrones isn't it? I much prefer the female voice in Halo.
In the city when spinning the camera are I notice your character is out of focus.

Things that I was hoping for

- Some actual ship flying, instead of using that as a loading screen
- When go into a mission and sees other random players, it would be good if somehow put you in a chat lobby and you can go through the mission with them. I put the mic on and nothing.
- More class of characters to choose from

But I guess it is very polish looking, it sounds amazing in 5.1 surround sound, there was no lag and the controls seems intuitive.

Best I can advise is to ask in the MP thread for what you wanna do or click x against peoples names on your friends list on the roster page - will tell you if in fire team and what they are doing.

I presume anyone who posted in the MP thread is happy to be contacted just sometimes they might be busy or in full fire teams.

I'm hoping where Bungie have failings people can utilise the MP thread to try and catch others to get a fire team together - doesn't have to be 3...

Sure you can, look at them. Click the right stick and then you can invite them to a fireteam.

There are 6 (3 with 2 types of each) with space for more, that's plenty no?
