"Report: Is Diablo III Coming Out on February 1st?

According to Best Buy, Diablo III is headed to stores at the beginning of next month. An end cap display spotted at a Rochester, Minnesota Best Buy location advertises that the store will hold a midnight launch for the game that day, and Best Buy's website lists the same date."

I hope this is correct! They even have a countdown timer in store so lets hope so, had no luck with getting a beta key!

I was hoping they'd go all out and announce it on the 15th anniversary of Diablo. Nothing though. :(

I can't be too far off I'd have thought though. Manuals and cases have gone into production apparently. :)

Manual production could be a sign of a near release, but i doubt it. WoW's manual was pretty outdated with changes when it was released, so going off that i doubt the production of the manual means anything.

Plus there is this (Scroll down to Bashioks post) http://forums.battle.net/thread.html?topicId=27837073523&sid=3000. The comment was only posted 2 days ago. I was hoping for a jan/feb release but looks like we are still in for quite a wait. :(

Just got my copy of "The book of cain" a few days ago, for anyone who's a fan of the lore it's a great read. Goes over the majority of the lore in good detail from start to finish, so anyone who's not to clued up and want's to be - the book of cain is a good resource.

The quality of the book is impressive, very well put together.

Just need D3 to come out now : (
 
Wild guessing on my part but i'm thinking, Diablo 3 before spring. Mists of Pandaria in the Summer and Heart of the Swarm in Winter.

Possibly swap the expansions around although if they take that long with Mists they'll have to come up with a content patch for WoW to keep subs happy.

Really can't see D3 taking any longer than a few months now with it being well into its beta stages.

That'd be a bit of a disappointment. Word is they initially aimed for HotS to come 12-16 months after SC2. Next winter would be 29+ months.. Brood War came only 7 months after the original SC, tho a lot has changed since then to say the least.

I'm not a WoW player, so I shamelessly do want them to 'swap' MoP and HotS like you said.

However, I'm thinking one of those three might be pushed back well into 2013, as for some reason I just find it a bit odd for Blizzard to release them all inside of one year. If that turns out to be the case, and as you can guess, I hope it's MoP that's delayed :p

From a general gamer perspective MoP is the most logical to delay, however from a development view they can't leave the current content as the only content for over a year again. Considering the available MMO competition the last thing Blizzard should be doing is giving people an excuse to unsub and try another MMO.

Do agree though, HoS seems to be taking a rather long time for an expansion.

Just hope D3 isn't too long a wait, wouldn't mind checking out what all the fuss is about with a Diablo game :)
 
Imo, diablo march, HoTS june/july and MoP November, but i cant figure out what they would do content wise for WoW, i hope its that way though.

Ah, hadn't much thought of that because as I said above.

Needless to say, will be interesting to see how they handle it all as this will no doubt be a very big year for Blizzard.

Yeah, I'm itchin' for it the most too. D3 really is looking like it'll be every bit worthy of the hype, can't wait!

Could be a load of rubbish though.
