need to try those new changes in beta see how they work with gameplay , crafted items were to overpowered all other pick up even unique were worthless more or less

So I randomly reinstalled D2:LoD. I used to play it online a lot but I decided to just play it singleplayer to mess about for a bit.

I went with a Lightning Javazon and ended up completing Normal in 2 days :O I've started Nightmare now, not sure if I should continue in case it consumes my life. If D3 is this addictive I might end up getting it!

I feel the same, but then I wonder if making new characters will be the same in D3, as most of my D2 addiction was making new characters to find my favourite builds. In D3 you can just switch builds, you know what they say about the man with everything :P

Senior Producer, Steve Parker, leaves Blizzard/D3 with parting shot..

Hey Twitter, I'm no longer working at Blizzard or on D3. I've had a great 5 years there and those guys are going to kill it with Diablo.

Rather outspoken.

How is that a parting shot? He has just said that he had a great 5 years working there, "those guys are going to kill it" was a possitive comment

Ahhh I suppose it could be taken that way, I took going to kill it as a negative phrase rather than a positive, my bad, not a phrase Ive used in a positive way :)

This could have been planned for months.

Seen a lot of panic on the net about him leaving and the game suffering. People leave companies all the time, its just like any other place, you get a better offer, you take it and move on. If he'd tweeted he was disgusted at Blizz and the recent changes sucked, that'd be another matter, but he didnt. People are reading too much into what could be a normal everyday thing.

Diablo 3 WILL be awesome! :)

I still think were looking at a April/May release window, this will then give Mists a summer release window with Heart of the swarm being a Nov/Dec release.

The senior producer has been working on D3 and at Blizzard for over 5 years, I would expect he's moved onto another company, some where fresh now the projects winding down in it's final stages.

Gah, darned youngsters and their illogical hip street talk !

I know what you mean :( Sick meaning great still confuses me. When was the last time you liked being sick?! And whats with the F word being a bad word? Surely everyone thinks its a good thing?!

Do we have any ideas of minimum spec or recommended spec? Anyone with beta's what are your specs and how does it play?
Hopefully won't have to buy a 7970 to run this :-)

The phrase "killing it" is a kind of meme that is positive, e.g "he kills this song" (makes a good job of it). Its a little obscure.

A meme used only by morons by the sounds of it. If someone kills a song they do a **** job of it, how exactly could that be taken any other way?

Either way the guys statement doesn't make much sense.

Its all in the tone.

Someone looks/sounds happy and exclaims "he killed that track! :D" is very differant to somebody sounding sombre or annoyed saying "he killed that track...".

Its still a generally accepted colloquialism, most people under or around 25 I imagine would completely understand the phrase.

How old are you evilsod? :p
