Just entered a sweepstake competition and won like 2 accounts, did it just for the heck of it not really even that bothered about the game... was quite happy waiting till release (whenever that is)

Had quite a few messages from people wanting to buy the account from me. Hang on... buy a BETA account? What the hecks that about!! I've got some envious friends in any case offering me pizzas and beers for gametime so its not bad I suppose :)

I sold a few SC2 beta keys for a couple of quid. Not an insane amount but more than enough to pay for the game a few times over once it finally came out :)

You should definitely sell them (not on here though..I believe it's against forum rules).
 
Its made me wonder I'll be honest. I'll at least give the game a whirl i suppose and see what all the fuss is about.

Not sure about that whole selling thing though. Loads of random people out there just wanting to scam these days so I'm dubious. Dont get what all the fuss is about with this game. Just coz its blizzard? :P

Yeah. People are very fanatical when it comes to Blizzard games :)

I can see your worries about people ripping you off. I guess if they do you it's not the end of the world though - not playing the game until release isn't so terrible.

That'd be a bit of a disappointment. Word is they initially aimed for HotS to come 12-16 months after SC2. Next winter would be 29+ months.. Brood War came only 7 months after the original SC, tho a lot has changed since then to say the least.

Until they fall behind Valves schedule for Episode 3 I think they're in the clear.
 
maybe OCUK would like to do a direct swap for a shiny 7970 ahahaha :)

Tempted by those bad boys to replace my aging 5850s in crossfire (not impressed by CF overall, will be last time i reckon)

Worth a try. I can't see them going for it though, unless someone working here is a massive Diablo fan :D

CF and SLI both kind of let me down when I dabbled with them too. Not terrible, not great.
 
Yeah bit disheartened overall, left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth in regards to ATI.

Always used them, always defended them over nvidia but somehow with their drivers and stuff I've just been left a bit underwhelmed. I only ever really get into a few games but when I do i wanna play them without fps hitching and no matter what I've tried i just never got that with say bf3.

Mind you im not convinced even a 7970 would play that perfectly.
 
I can't help but wonder if they've given any consideration to the new 'identification' mechanic. Yes carrying around a scroll was always a little annoying but do they have any idea how annoying it will be waiting for your character to identify a bloody item when you have 6 of them to do? Just remove the need to ID it or auto-ID it when picked up and get it over with already!

Some big looking changes elsewhere though.
 
Mistake I expect, they may have to list it as instock due to the way the Amazon marketplace works. Just a guess though.
 
Pay for the beta? no need to really. I just wanted to know how it'd run on my gaming laptop, so i ran a local mooege server. At least you can experience the game engine etc without actually being in the beta. :D

That release date is not true. Blizz aint announced it so until blizz announce it.....

When it comes to general and unmentioned delay records, sure :p ..Of course as I was talking about an expansion to further and support a major e-sport MMORTS, Episode 3 is quite an impertinent comparison.

Scrolls of Identification are gone - players can now identify rares/legendary items without them.
Button '5' is now dedicated to potions.
The Mystic artisan has now been removed from the game.
The Cauldron of Jordan and Nephalem Cube have been removed.
The Stone of Recall is now a button at the bottom and has been renamed "Town Portal".
The Blacksmith is now responsible for salvaging players' items.
Common (white colored) items are no longer salvageable.
Character Attributes have been changed. See below for details.
Character stats are now placed in the same place as the inventory panel and the old dedicated stats panel has been removed.

Worth a mention also
Keep in mind everything detailed in the article today is already in the game, and most of it is complete. Once you get Patch 10 and see that, I think it may sink in that these aren't theoretical changes we're still working on, they're changes we've completed. Obviously the potion button still needs a little work to hook it up correctly, and the character attribute changes need to be balanced and tested for itemization throughout the game, but overall these are changes we've already made.
