*** The Official Diablo III Thread ***

I got mine from **azon (guess the rest) for £6.58 and as I have prime its going to be here tomorrow.

I checked some cd key sites and cheapest I found it was £11.99

Cool, a friend wants it though from America so that could be awkward =P

Combined, they seem to go for £21.34.

Not bad!

What's the fastest way to hit 70 now? Just doing bounties and aiming for some of the new +XP craftables?

i'll do 1 round of bounties at the start but not hand in until level 23 (and hope to get the crafted +exp plans in the caches) and then do rifts all the way to 70. I might do the story mode around level 19 to get the free leorics crown and slap a ruby in it. I'll craft some +exp gear if I get the plans and also craft a few weps along the way. I think around level 6 or 7 i'll buy 2 +dmg rings and then around 14? a +dmg amulet. At 42 you can craft a level 60 wep with - level requirement, which gives a massive boost and then the same at lvl60 for a level 70 wep.

Remember to save all your legendaries you find that can be cubed as although they are lower level they still work when cubed.

Once I have the free set items done i'll farm bounty mats for while as i'll be able to do them at higher torment for more drops.

Then its farm, farm farm for the DMO set and the other legendaries I need to conquer the leaderboards :D

Matt.

Bonus experience doesn't do a lot outside of Greater Rifts sadly. Honestly the inefficient time you'd spend getting a Leorics would set you further behind than if you were using that time to do bounties or rifts.

Yeah, i'll see how it pans out, if im having to do it solo I might just do it for the distraction, if im grouped and in full swing i'll just go with the flow and do what ever everyone else is doing.

Ive been watching twitch the last few nights and seen a few 4 man groups getting to 70 in less than 2 and a half hours. I think I did it in about 4 or 5 hours last season.

Apologies as I can't see the information in the patch notes - how does one obtain the seasonal legendary set? Do I just play normally and I'll get the stuff or do I need to go out of my way in order to meet certain goals?

what would be the best thing to do tonight?

shall I play through the acts and continue to level my barb or shall I do something else? RoS will be here tomorrow

shall I start off a crusader from scratch and level him up?

You get 2 pieces as soon as you hit level 70, just open up the mail button in the bottom left corner and they'll be mailed straight to you. After that you need to kill Zultan Khulle on Torment 2, and then complete a GR20 for the remaining pieces.

I would just wait until Reaper of Souls arrives tomorrow, then you can start from scratch with them and experience all the new content on the Crusader.

Apparently the quickest levelling now is maintaining high massacre multipliers so high density areas will = fast levelling.

Personally im just planning on rift spam, possibly halls of agony upto about lvl 20, depends how easy those multipliers are to get.

Does anyone know if there any point keeping sets from older season or will old set pieces automatically upgrade to the new rolls and powers?

I still don't understand the Kanai Cube tbh.

All I know if you put **** into it and then it makes a different item with some stats :/

Do I play again or not?

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with this game, I think the general gameplay is fun. and I like the way that they put in new things each patch to keep it interesting.

But on the flip side there are several things that mean I won't keep interest on it forever. Primarily:

  • Bounties aren't fun, full stop. Running about looking for the objective in a massive open area gets a big nope from me.
  • At some point I will be 90% done with gearing how I want, and the other 10% is just hoping for perfection, at this stage everything I find is just immediately salvaged more or less, so I lose the "yay got an upgrade" feeling and replace it with "oh look, another piece of junk" :P
  • I also didn't like the way that the meta game was just to speed run GR's over and over, and I guess that is still the case?
  • XP gearing was too good, I'd actually quite like to just solo some rifts every now and then but it's so inefficient compared to group XP rates that it was nuts. Is this being addressed?

On the other hand I am sick of TF2 at the moment, and could use a distraction. Even if I play a bit more casually than I have before I think it can still keep me entertained for a little while.

What might be more interesting is playing a class I really haven't before, and something that can run about/farm at speed would be good. I've played Crusader a lot, same for Barb, I'm not interested in a Monk main, I didn't get on with the DH turret spec (not enough going on to keep it interesting). That more or less leaves me with a few options:

Wizard - probably the class I have played the least.
DH - Not turret spec! I'd guess it's more interesting now with more up to date gear/specs.
WD - Gameplay doesn't interest me as much on this one.

Can either DH or Wizard play a decent support role? Was also sick of being DPS last season only and not having anyone to run GR's with reliably.

Hmm, not sure with twins not playing. I might solo then just groupage at 70 when I get my free set armour sorted. Only got this weekend off though and I'm back at work on Monday but I plan to hit 70 on Friday then gear up on the weekend.

They not playing at all this season? I'll likely be playing again but won't be on until later Friday and evenings only this weekend.
