***The Official Dying Light 2 thread***

That train horde is your ‘starter’ horde that the game puts you against to terrify you at the start of the game lol.

You’ve posted in the days gone thread so you’ve probably seen my comments there about how the game plays out early on and changes as you move to other camps. Just take it easy and don’t worry about maxing out the loyalty for each camp if you’re told you need to move on - there’s plenty of time to do that just make sure you do max them out later on before endgame - you’re told this ingame iirc. It’s important.

That nest powder is for some ammo that you’ll get later on so don’t worry if you’ve maxed the amount you can carry.

Best advice I can give is memorise the map. Especially police car, and petrol stations that you’ve spotted. You’ll have no doubt noticed how much of a pita Fuel is so those tow trucks you’ve seen always have a Jerry can of fuel as do petrol stations obviously. Police cars always have ammo in the boot.

edit: sorry for rushed reply. On the way to work!
Had a little browse through the thread, but did not read in detail in case of spoilers. Thanks for the tips :)

^^

Exactly.

Just see new world for all of its so called variety and content i.e. same 3 missions in different areas over and over again....

I'm getting Ubisoft vibes from this game, is it just a beautiful world with the same fetch quests over and over? Does it have any depth? How was the 1st game in that regard?

Just playing through DL1 and it's been fine so far. The main campaign is really good. Lots of scripting and unique scenes. Some of the side quests are basic but you don't need to do them, they just help level up your character really. Enemy difficulty is tied to game completion % instead of player level so you can make it easier or harder by rushing main story or doing all side quests.

I've pre-ordered using cdkeys, wouldn't do it through Steam at full price. I'm gonna buy it anyway and it'll take a long time to drop to £28 on steam

Well Techland are the last of the good AAA devs (for now). They are still supporting and releasing content to this very day on DL1 so there's that.

In terms of the first game, it was very story driven. Yes there were fetch quests, but the atmosphere and environment meant that they didnt feel like a chore and the parkour mechanics mixed with challenge of the combat meant that you couldnt really settle into you standard walk>pick up>walk back mechanic and there was a level of dark humour running through the story that hit the spot, especially in some of the side questy stuff.

Then they released The Following DLC and absolutely smashed it out of the park with that one, its a good old fashioned expansion in a completely new location but the way it was included was superb and worth every penny back then, it costs peanuts now and so is a total no brainer.

One of my all time favourite games, top 3 at least. You can pick it up with all the expansions for £5 ish. Silly value for money.

So much this, also one of my top ten games, ever.

I read that they've tamed down the night time experience, which if true, is a shame, I still shudder when I think of my first time in the night universe of Dying Light!

eeekkk yes truly terrifying!

I hope they haven't toned anything down ... ive been purposely avoiding as much info as possible to keep it fresh (its a risk even being in this thread )

Just finished the main story on DL and it as not until i got to the end that i remembered how naff the fight, if you can call it that, with Rias was. Currently playing the following again and this time I am going to venture into the Volitile nests which I didn't the first time around as I kept on getting killed. :D

Shadow Warrior 3 will take 500 hours to complete!!!... 60 times :):D:cry:

Hopefully this turns out good. So many rumors about it's development but we'll know soon enough. The original is by far my favourite zombie game.
