Fixed it, I have a duff USB port, switched it to another and yaw is now working.
Had similar issues with my X55 not working properly on motherboard usb ports, I connected the controllers to a hub and it is flawless now

Next on my list of things to learn, though may be not master for a while is what I saw in a youtube video of a guy dogfighting by using thrusters along with the usual XYZ joystick axes to keep a enemy in the cross-hair yesterday which was awesome..
It's a lot easier with an analogue input i.e. analogue HAT or thumb stick. Not entirely necessary for combat as most targets move around too much to make it viable, it's only really useful against big slow targets who are less manoeuvrable than you.
Yeah, my thinking is that I can fly my FPV quadcopter in manual/acro mode which is the same in some respects, I fly mode 2 so the right stick is pitch+roll the same as a joystick and any input you give needs to be cancelled out by an equal and opposite input to stop the rotation so that's the same.Good luck with that as it is tricky as hell, I have been trying and I still have a long way to go to getting it right, but when you do it is the holy grail for dogfights...
I have pretty much everything configured via buttons, but I still use voice attack as it is just so much fun!
Not sure I agree with that matey, its fantastic against smaller targets, thrust down when pitching up to increase your rate of turn in a turning fight, slide sideways when they are on an approach run and watch how they miss every shot, use it to evade ramming manoeuvres, use them to bring the top of a ship into gunsights for targetting the power generator for an instakill etc etc.
You must have lateral and vertical thrusters to hand at all times (on a hat with all other priorities recended) and you must try to make a point of using them all the time and the more you use them the more they will become invaluable.
Wish I had an analogue hat though...
The key in combat is to be thinking ahead at all times - don't react, anticipate and all of a sudden you'll be screaming through areas without a scratch leaving a wake of space junk behind you.
Keep looking at this thread.
Keep resisting.
Brutal, just worked up to my first hauler done a couple runs and I forgot I was wanted and was scanned and destroyed docking with Chango dock. lost everything back to a sidewinder and 1000 credits.
Never mind user error, I had a hauler and worked up enough credits to upgrade to a Cobra. Bought it, and then as the screen faded to black to transition to the new ship, the game crashed. Logged back in and my account balance was minus the 125k for the ship, but I was still in the hauler![]()

Resisting is futile, you know it will win in the end lol![]()
Done the boost death too.
It should disable boost with either station entry or landing gear out.
Something like that for station security.
