how do you do that?

and God I suck at combat. didn't realise the more throttle you have the lower your turn rate.

windows 7

control panel - sounds - recording tab - select mic then click properties bottom right - listen tab - click listen to this device and then apply.

I fancy it make be background noise as cheaper mics are worse for this. I have My PC in the living room and dont have issues with it even when the TV is on.

What do you frequently do in this game? Every stream on twitch just seems to be of the same sort of mission collecting something and selling it at a different, but yet familiar, looking space station?

I really wouldn't mind trying it, but I don't see where the £50 is going or getting me.

Does it have single player?
Yeah it has solo online play, i.e. you're connected to the net for trade price fluctuations etc. but you won't meet other players only NPCs.

Your progress carries over to the multiplayer mode too, so if you do some trading, get some bounties, travel to another system in the solo mode then this is reflected in the multiplayer mode when you next go into that and vice versa.

Sounds interesting and a lot more appealing than SC which worries me with complexity and micro transactions.

Micro transactions in Star Citizen will be entirely optional but it's a looooong way off which is why my org have jumped on ED :) Plus many of us are old gits who remember the original!

I was aware of it but never played it, I only got into PC gaming around the time of the Pentium II but my friend had some sort of Amiga before that as well. I would be interested in playing a beta but don't want to burn myself out on it before it's even released! This is why I don't buy early access games in general.

I'm ok with that. I've been reading and the more I read the more excited I am. Very tempted to buy an X52 setup for this. It makes sense as I generally buy games for PC that don't exist on console and space sims like this are such game. Wish I'd backed this earlier, I'd rather put £100 towards my controller than the beta though.

Edit: Didn't realise Beta also gave you the full game when released

Anyone else's ship drift with Flight assist off and not pressing any controls? Whenever I turn off flight assist when travelling in a straight line and hands off the controller my nose just slowly dips down. Anyone else get this or do I need to play with my dead zones?

You need to fine tune dead zones, if I've got a foot on either pedal I start to rotate slightly. It's a nice way of finding out if you've got those zones large enough though!

Ordered X52 Pro, I tried to play the X3 series with a Cyborg Evo and always found it harder than keyboard and mouse but it was more comfortable. Needed to use the keyboard a lot still though. I'm going to order the £50 pack too so I can try the Beta and see how my PC copes with the game. Was tempted by the Rhino but I think the joystick looks nicer on the X52 Pro.
