Absolutely sod all, I have no interest in supporting ventures like this via Kickstarter, even more so when they are established studios.

I'm the total opposit, I love crowdsourcing. Even with established companies. They get the money to build it, how they want and gauge the interest, we get a product.
I've supported 5 thins month, 2 games, 1software, two products.
I think crowdsourcing is far better for us as a consumer and for the developers/designers.
IMO the biggest benefit of crowdsourcing is we will see a much bigger range of products as it means people can get funding with our a big player or expensive loans, it means a product doesn't have to be mass marketable and it also brings together purchasers in one place.

It's actually on the 3rd but they will Awnser some questions as they can untill then.
Getting some of the more mundane and allready talked about stuff out the way.

Star citizen is essentially just a mission based space shooter, whilst Elite has far more depth and is a fully open world sandbox game. They are massively different.

From what I've seen Star Citizen is basically Wing Commander:Special Ops (if anyone remembers it) on steroids.

But it's not an open world game where you can go and do whatever you like is it? In Elite you just fly out into the uncharted galaxy and be whatever you want to be. Whether that's a trader, pirate, assassin, explorer etc, it's up to you.
