I got my X52 Pro on Friday and ED feels like a whole new game now. Compared to the XBox controller it feels like I can now aim with some accuracy, and the throttle control is icing on the cake.
I'm a complete newcomer to gaming on anything other than keyboard and mouse, so anyone else thinking of taking the jump should just do it.
It took a few hours to get used to the inverted controls but my 4 year old daughter picked it up instinctively. Think I might train her up as my combat pilot and I'll do the rest![]()

Do you mean you upgraded with the recent offer or are you talking about when they offered it the first time?
It's already shaping up to look very pretty
More importantly though I suppose, what are your thoughts on the gameplay so far?
The recent offer. When the alpha was released for £200 above what was pledged on KS I almost choked with laughter. I had already pledged £150 over a two year period and felt that paying £200 for a few months of alpha testing was a joke.
I initially pledged £20 on KS, then I upgraded to £50 total and just before KS ended I added another £100. Elite is my all time favourite and I wanted to do my bit to ensure it became a reality.
The latest offer is an upgrade from your KS pledge total. and your rewards are not affected. So in my case I paid £150 already so the alpha update was £50. £50 was a far better prospect than the £200 it was initially on sale for.
Well the latest offer is to pay £100 ontop of the Beta access unfortunately :|
Screenshots with FPS in the top right corner. The reason the cockpit is off centre is because I am using TrackIR.
Is TrackIR working well?
I want to invest in TrackIR for ED and also Star Citizen, but wanted to check how it was performing in the game?
I'd go for Oculus Rift as well but I can't see in 3D so it doesn't work for me.![]()
