Q3 confirmed then![]()
I have plenty of money and several ships and really looking forward to it. They have dragged it out a bit for sure but I still love the game. Hopefully, the hype is real with the Thargoids and it brings a new level of gameplay, as I know there is a lot of people a bit bored with the grind and it would be nice to keep them playing.Wonder what the new weapons will be like? I like the sound of it and will be interesting to see how they go it about it the players creating them… my guess. CG's to get the parts then they get issued via Outfitting. Don't think they'll use Engineers as new players will left pretty stuffed. Regardless, guess I better start saving up cash in case as I sense me getting blown up rather regularly in the future!…![]()
Nah, it will just be more grind and more of the same complaints from the same people...Hopefully, the hype is real with the Thargoids and it brings a new level of gameplay, as I know there is a lot of people a bit bored with the grind and it would be nice to keep them playing.
I've been getting that periodically for months. On a side note, anyone had ED really lag lately? Transitioning between SRV and ship / hyperspace jumps take a LONG time, menu options after docking in a station take an age to update, scanning a system doesn't return a message about new bodies found for minutes. I thought this might be temporary but I've been having this for a couple of weeks now.
I have given a name to my pain, and that name is Modified Embedded Firmware (MEF).
I thought I'd take a break from Empire ranking at Wu Guinagi and take the plunge on getting some MEF (thank the gods it isn't Modified Unified Firmware), because after all, who DOESN'T want large overcharged multi cannons with effects on their ship? Cu
TL;DR MEF is a PITA, these G5 upgrades better be worth it
Fyi there is an app which you can download from the frontier forum which is specifically for data search and mining. I run it on my laptop, you can filter by data and base type, it then shows you a route map not only through the galaxy (base to base) but for the actual bases and scan points themselves. It shows you the optimal Srv route
Yep! No idea personally why I love this game but I don't actually mind the grind. I find it such a relaxing game, I don't mind putting the time in and a break now and then helps. It would be sweet to get things like planetary landings and they will come but in the meantime, I am quite content in what I am doing.Nah, it will just be more grind and more of the same complaints from the same people...
5 Important Things I Learned about Elite: Dangerous at E3 2017 Including Atmospheric Planet Landings.
Shame no gas planetary changes any time soon, but not surprised.
Yeah but I'd rather wait so they can do it right and it make it look brilliant. Plus focusing on improving current game play gets a huge thumbs up from me.

Probably because you're not grinding...Yep! No idea personally why I love this game but I don't actually mind the grind.
An easy fix isn't going to happen in this game and good job I say. Sure the RNG can be a bit frustrating with missions and engineers but feels worthwhile when you complete them.Probably because you're not grinding...
Everyone is in such a rush to get the best ship, the highest Eng upgrades, the most money, and to reach Elite in all four classes.
The original game was unique because it took time. Other contemporaries gave you 3 lives and it was about the highest score you could get in those three short lives...
In this modern age of people completing 300-hour-long games in less than 20 minutes, Elite is still pretty unique.
Don't get too excited when you hit King rank.
I got it the other week, got the mail in game announcing the promotion and....
It's not animated any more, not even an image in the mail.
Fairly sure the ones below Prince where. Perhaps bug /shrug.
