*** The Official Elite: Dangerous Thread ***

So yesterday I sold my Asp Explorer off for a Vulture so I can do some bounty hunting...

Haven't really got my teeth into Combat much with Elite, but it was pretty fun! Not even close to being as profitable as Passenger Missions, but it was much more fun :p

The Vulture has awful power issues though :( So after I've had my fun in it, I think I'll be back to the Asp to do Passenger missions again so I can upgrade to something like a Python or a Federal Assault Ship (Once I've managed to crack Federation ranks - Such a boring process!...)

Its been well over a year since i played ED, didnt play engineers as it wasnt out when i stopped playing. I think im near Robigo with Elite Trade rank, does Robigo still work?
Whats most you can make per hour now...doing what?
 
Corvette is in a reasonable state now, just need to engineer the heck out of it and start making some money back lol, rebuy is currently at just over 27 million :eek:

Passenger missions can pay silly money, it's certainly far more efficient than bounty hunting is :(

Get engineering and you can resolve those power issues easily :)
 
I'm pretty new to ED, and I'm having an issue where it disconnects from the server and kicks me back to the main screen. It also crashes my internet. Anyone else had this issue? I have a BT hub. No other game does this so it's a strange one.
 
Elite is nothing but grind at least to progress, which is why PVP is pointless as its full of unemployed 20yr olds with nothing better to do apart from max & min, so you do not stand a chance.

PVE is grind, not that you need engineers really, but say you want to go to colonia you are looking at 2-3 days of doing the same thing......... just to get to a station that looks err the same.

Travel in the game takes way to long imo.

Yep that sounds like Elite in a Nutshell :p

I'm only Cadet in Federation Ranks and I'm getting about 4% increase in rank every mission completed, so I need to complete 25 missions to rank up - Sounds fair, but is a bit boring after doing the same missions over and over again :p I only hope Frontier have something up their sleeve the next few months when announcing the future for Elite
 
All MMO's are a grind.

If you collect materials as you play via mission rewards and combat then engineering isn't much of one, you just need to be aware of the ones you need to attain the engineering results you want, the biggest grind is unlocking the engineers themselves but even that isn't that bad as it is a real mixed bag of things they want.

I unlocked two engineers without even realizing :p They just popped up on my message board one day :p
 
You just have access to them now, you still need to actually provide them with combat bonds/rares/bounties or whatever they want to unlock them :)

If you spent half as much time simply enjoying the gameplay as you do whining about how "it's a griiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiind", you'd be a frakin' Admiral Of The Fleet or something by now!!

Seriously, why are you even still here?
Do you not have EVE or Star Citizen? No Mans Sky, perhaps?
Can you not instead complain on the FD boards, where they might then hear you and even do something about it?

Well because i fired it up and decided to take the corvette out on a kill a pirate mission, currently i am sat waiting for the 120000ls ticker to count down, where i have to wait even longer for him to show up on the mission marker.....

I have also watched 1 episode of big bang whilst flying around in my dynamic and intense game that is elite dangerous.

Come to think of its been a while since i posted on the ED thread and didnt want people to miss me.
