Oh really? I tried to launch both fighters but only one was launched... and the other greyed out...

Oh do you mean a multicrew so one human and one AI?
And another human stays behind on the mothership?

No, you can pilot the fighter if want with the ai piloting the mothership.

I say that with utter confidence then doubt myself… though I am right… unless I'm wrong! :D

Pretty sure its only one fighter at any time.

Ai pilot you in mothership or vice versa

Multicrew its

Gunner
Fighter
Mothership pilot.

I'm so confoozed.
So only 1 fighter can be deployed at any time?
My understanding is that 2 fighters can be launched, but only if one is flown by another player using multicrew. The other fighter can either be flown by you or the AI crewmate, if you fly it then the AI flies your ship.

That's what I said lol :)

If anybody wants to test the theory I'll be online later :)

I've tested it previously with my Vette.
IIRC, I was able to Pilot my vette, with an NPC in one SLF and a player in the other.
I don't remember being able to have an NPC fly my Vette whilst both myself and another play both flew SLFs. That might have changed though.

It's definitely a game you need a break from every few months.

I love the game but eventually the grind gets a little tiresome and the lack of actual depth and content starts to jar a little.

I keep coming back to it though :)

I tend to prefer the smaller ships to midrange. Trouble with the bigger stuff is the massive upgrades and running costs if you get killed. A top spec conda would clean you out just getting it half decent :)

You are probably right with that...

I think I will stick to my trusty python for now. I may venture into engineering to improve its weak spots a little. Namely manoeuvrability and jump distance.

Agree with this. love it, but man it can get stale. Iv said it before but there are simply not enough random events to keep it fresh and the global system is appalling and fails to get people to give a **** as its basically fake

Exactly this.

The game definitely needs more random events. Just stuff that can happen to make the environment feel more alive and lived in.

I don't even bother with investigating the signals now as I know it's either just pirates or a wedding barge.

I'm actually now taking time to eyeball the signals for the 3 secs it takes to check if they are high grade or not provided I don't have to swivel much off angle from my route.

I was a bit surprised it had been 18 months since I last played. Quite pleased with small changes here and there, like the air traffic control voices. The AI is now OK.
Pumped for Thargoids next month.
