Good news! Support are refunding my rebuy as well as giving back any vouchers/scans I had lost and removing the bounty. I quite the guys opening response to me;

They hope to have it fixed in the next patch and other players are reporting to wait a minute a little out from the base to watch the skimmers perform their death rain (his words again) then you should be safe to land.
 
I'm still enjoying this after a few hours. Went to a mining / refining system to bounty hunt a bit. I'm crap at combat but getting better.Made a couple of mil and kitted out a cobra mk3 for a bit more combat. Thinking of trying out a bit trading / passenger carrying this weekend.

Cool. Might be worth considering if you want to do missions for the Empire or Feds and think about setting up a home in their territory. Empire has the better looking ships imho.

Need some help please guys, I installed windows 10 and installed the game and copied my joystick bindings over and it's not working. My custom colour cockpit is working but bindings are not. Are there 2 places for the bindings to go? When I open up the custom binding I can see that my joystick is mapped....any help would be much appreciated as I can't be remapping my joystick controls again as there's to many on the hotas etc please help
 
2.4 beta in 13 days :) excludes Thargoid stuff as per usual so no spoilers in the beta. Quite looking forward to that. In other news I am very happy with my current Corvette build, 2 huge multi cannons and the rest as pulse lasers currently, all of them efficient and I have a shed load of power spare so will swap a couple out for beams I expect, though I certainly don't feel the need for it to be honest, got some good survivability and decent firepower for PvE stuff certainly, PvP will very likely be a rebuy lol.

Which folder did you put them in?

C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings is where they need to be for it to work.

Nice, try rolling the multicannons with rapid fire or sturdy mounts. My corvette runs two huge multi rapid fire incendiary rounds and the rest sturdy mounted cannons with thermal cascade (i know im cancer). I rid through armour and burn modules :D mainly pvp ship.
 
I did consider those, will have a play over the next few weeks I think, though I'll probably need to go back to running passenger missions for funds, cannot get over how much they pay in comparison to bounty hunting/combat bonds, such a massive disparity :(

I put them in here and didnt work on windows 10, tried security permissions etc still didnt work. Rolled back to windows 7 and its all working great, game seems smoother too. Windows 10 sucks, didnt think much of it tbh.
 
Guys wheres the best way to increase your military and empire rank? I progressed these over a year ago but they were broken at the time so gave up. Can somebody let me know best place to rank up please?
Also does the old exit game work again and reload for adding missions? This used to work for flying out of a space station too, does it still work?

I have picked this up again after a long break. Seems a bit more polished now, but still no real depth or content.

Been doing a few passenger missions and seem to be racking up credits quicker than ever before.

I now have over 200m in assets. A rated FDL, an Asp kitted for exploration and a pretty decent spec Python with about 18m credits in the bank.

Wondering what to aim for next. An anaconda maybe? I think maybe you need around 300m for a decent build though?
 
I tend to prefer the smaller ships to midrange. Trouble with the bigger stuff is the massive upgrades and running costs if you get killed. A top spec conda would clean you out just getting it half decent :)
 
Ok so had a little play today with Elite and VR....

Just immense, nothing can beat it.. and actually going back to a monitor to play this game just dumbs it down....
VR s the way it is meant to be played...

One question about hanger fighters....

Do condas only allow to deploy one fighter at a time?

Would be cool if two!
 
One at a time. That is for all ships and only use imp fighters with 2 fixed beams when your go pilot gets to around Master.

Rest are garbage from then on in.
 
That's not strictly true, you can launch two fighters but only one AI fighter so you need a human crew member for the other.
 
Oh really? I tried to launch both fighters but only one was launched... and the other greyed out...

Oh do you mean a multicrew so one human and one AI?
And another human stays behind on the mothership?
