Nothing whatsoever, excepting the ability to use whatever controllers your like and a few graphical settings I believe, the gameplay itself is identical and both share the same background universe, which is why it's a little sad we don't have cross platform play.

I decided to play this for the first time this morning after buying it 2 weeks ago for £13.11.
So far, I've not been able to play it!!!
Load up from steam, asks me to create an account, which I've done, got the email verification.
Log into game, tells me to check my email for a one time code and tells me it can be several mins and to check my junk mail etc. Done it a couple of times now and so far, no code!!
Not exactly a flying start!!

Have you tried via the launcher, not steam?

No, didn't realise there was a launcher! Thanks for the heads up, I'll try in a min at looking on their website.
Yerp, there is.
It has a handy "servers online" indicator (which, erm...if they weren't, surely we'd know when we couldn't log in?
), info' about galnet (the only time I ever vaguely see that hehe) & the usual "We're selling new skins" too.Saves having to have steam open
Lol what a half arsed fix, all they have done is increased the grind. Its the only answer FD understand.
Love the music that plays when auto dockingshame it's not playable while travelling.
Blue Danube was such an obvious choice
As for when travelling, that's always bugged me.
Silence all the way, then when you arrive suddenly got the ability to hear music, which of course won't last because you'll dock & lose it again

It's a shame, as while travelling it'd be so much more relaxing than just being sat there in silence.
This game has really beautiful music when Frameshifting, it comes in every now and again and it makes my skin come out in goosebumps:

Hmmn, don't recall hearing that but then usually got something else playing in background. Shall have to test.
I like that females vocals that kick in occasionally ! Very very fitting. I think it's while using the FSD
Wow. The auto dock can be so erratic sometimes. (Scarily so) I wonder if the music is there to keep the pilot calm
Nothing beats enjoying an external view of your ship when it's in auto-docking, only to see it boop into a tower on the planet or faceplant into the station.
Once when first got auto docker it flew me into the mail slot, only for some out going ship to crash into me & the station wiped them out.
No idea if a player or npc, as it was over so fast, but I had a minor "No, not me!" heart attack
Haha ! I haven't had that happen yet ! It's usually pretty trust worthy albeit very sketchy sometimes !
I've had to remove it for now to make extra cargo room for a mission I needed 21 slots for.
Done a few landings on planet bases now so a bit more confident on planet exploring and so on. Wonder where to go from here. I need to make more money -_-
