Haha ! That first ship was like "oh ****!!"

The second, not so lucky :D

Think first must've been a player, as they boosted right near the exit. No idea about the other, but visions of someone somewhere staring at a rebuy screen about to climb into a meagre Sidewinder ;)

Just uploaded the tower bump. Pesky AI... :p

I'm only just starting out, just going to do the final training mission, but by gum this game is fantastic in VR, although getting twisty in combat gets your attention fast...

Don't think ever used a Vulture, perhaps it just needs some new gear into it to make it decent.

Oh, it definitely looks the bomb, but turns like a dead snail :p
When first bought it, thought it looked good, but didn't think it was worth that cost, especially as cost almost a billion to fully gear the Cutter.
The sound of the boost though, Schvwoooooooooooom! :D

I haven't even seen those for sale yet. They must be late game ships ?

What's the best hardpoints to put on a ship with only two slots ? I'm used to having two multi canons and two seeker missile bays. Now I feel like I've downgraded lol

Need no rank to get the Anaconda, need a ridiculous amount for the Cutter & Clipper (lower version of Cutter).

When it comes to weapons, mine are all guess work ;P
Gimbal ones give less dps I think, but fixed ones give more.
If you're in an agile ship, go for fixed, because you can dodge things easier.

Peruse youtube for builds or one of the build sites.
If want a funny version of ship recommendations, check out The Yamiks ;)

For the vulture I always like two gimball large beams. Makes it a good res hunting ship as you don't worry about ammo and you can target the power plants easily with its maneuverability.

Well I've booted the game back up after nearly 18 months or so. Wow its changed. I can't remember any controls (I'm sure they'll come back in no time) and I have no idea where I am or what I was doing when I went there.

I'm near Kremain now. But I want to get back in hunting RES sites for. Anyone point me in the right direction.

Just to add to the steep learning curve I've also just installed voice attack and Astra voicepack.

Bring on the lost days again......

I'll do that ! Didn't realise it came with two fixed pulse beams. Took me ages to down a ship that was hunting me :P

I have all the combat ability of a hippy sloth in open toed sandals wearing neon socks and a target on my back...

I can't even complete the combat training missions...bloody useless...

Just put two large pulse lasers in the vulture. Gonna go RES bounty hunting tomorrow :)

It's definitely not fit for trading ! :D

Edit. Not enough screenshots in here !

One I took earlier..

Was parked in middle of space whilst alt tabbed trying to see where to get something (Pharmaceutical Isolators, grind...) when some music kicked in. First time heard it, but not normally out of super cruise, so nice surprise.

Ah welp, pictures time.
Funky NPC name.

Instead of ships in front of things, SRV in front of things :p

Shows how tiny SRV is, or how large Cutter is ;)

Nice shots ! Love those mountains and the SRV! Where can I pick an SRV up from ? Any high tech system ? (Is there a benefit to having one ?)That cutter is absolutely huge !

A few times I've been searching on my phone for commodities and where to find them during warp, looked up to my tv screen to see all the warning lights flashing while my ship hurtles towards a star :D panic !

The Vulture has power issues, so the first thing to upgrade is it power-plant and distributor, this a costly affair, it only shines when have a spare 100m or so and engineered upgrades to make a Sunday afternoon toy.

However if you stick a couple of fixed beams on it and adjust the module priority you can still have some fun.

Personally i would skip it when starting out and the COBRA MK3 or 4 Rock :)

You need to equip a vehicle hanger to your ship, then you can stick an SRV into it.
This can be done at stations/ports where you can enter outfitting, but think it's hit & miss as to what some places do & don't sell.

Only benefit to having an SRV is some quests require them. tbh they're not great to handle, spin on the slightest little bump, but they're a change of pace & a new way to see the worlds.
Oh, they can also (sort of) fly :D

Good thing about this ship being so large, can equip four SRVs (in case I *ahem* crash & burn) :D.

P.S. A handy site, top right to change kind of things you're looking for.

Ah okay. So it's not a mandatory thing to work towards then. Finding it bad enough getting decent parts as it is. :P

Think I'll put that on hold for now.

I'll take a look at that site now. Thanks ! :D

@SPG, literally bought it blind yesterday as I thought it looked "cool"

I've got 100,000cr left in the bank after purchasing it. Do'h. Traded in my fully modded cobra mkIII too :( oops.

In any case I've put some gimballed pulse lasers on it (they were 50,000 each) which I tested yesterday, I can hold the fire button down a fair while before I over heat or the lasers overheat.
