in game AA?
Cos on my monitors I got some improvement by enabling AA via the NVCP
ingame AA in elite dangerous is broken. it's one of the often complained about things on the forum.I've managed to improve the image quality a lot by disabling AA which I never would have thought to do normally.
You might want to change some of the default NVCP settings for ED, like AA directlyYeah. I didn't realise that was causing the 'moving edges' and stuff. Disabled it and massive improvement. Not sure on my NVCP setting, probably set at whatever default is as I've only changed two things from memory.

They simply don't care, it was originally sold with VR as a feature but that aspect has been removed at some point in the last few years, really sad and it's what puts me off playing these days. The performance drop with Odyssey is pretty bad when compared to Horizons in VR too, not that it shows in any visual improvements whatsoever.ingame AA in elite dangerous is broken. it's one of the often complained about things on the forum.
other issues in elite in VR take an age to get fixed. (for instance orbit lines often only draw in 1 eye.... which is pretty uncomfortable. I find I have to turn them off.) it's really frustrating. it's almost like FD don't know (or even worse don't care) what a VR gem they have with elite.
yes it's true only 1-2% of steam users have VR headsets and is an excuse used by many to let FD off the hook for not supporting VR.much
..however if 75% of those 1-2% of steam users get elite dangerous...... that is still a hell of a lot of potential players for what is a fairly niche game.
The ASP X is a great ship with the best cockpit view. It was my first mining ship too if that takes your fancy.I've actually managed to really get back in to ED over the last few days, initially running passenger missions in a dolphin, which was highly relaxing coining it up to purchasing an Asp Explorer with modules to suit exploration / combat and before I know it I'm already now grinding out the Farseer engineering FSD requirements! I now need to delve in to the mining aspect in order to get hold of phosphorus. Although from a few threads it seems it is better to mine other raw materials and trade them in.
Thats a huge grind for an out of date module there are better obtainable through other grindsI also have an eye in getting hold of the Guardian FSD stuff but I mustn't run before I can walk!
Yes, I was reading up on the varieties of these folk. It just seems the best bet is to mine raw whatever instead of trying to locate the material you actually want.As for raw materials there are raw material traders but dont get them confused with manufactured or encoded material traders.

phosphorus is insanely easy to get. I can't believe you are not already overflowing with the stuff! I too really enjoyed elite recently having somewhat of a 2nd life with it. I am kicking myself not getting into titan bombing sooner instead of leaving it to the last one to get involved.I've actually managed to really get back in to ED over the last few days, initially running passenger missions in a dolphin, which was highly relaxing coining it up to purchasing an Asp Explorer with modules to suit exploration / combat and before I know it I'm already now grinding out the Farseer engineering FSD requirements! Playing this hybrid with sedate passenger missions in flat screen with a beer on the go versus VR for the combat stuff.
just started maybe .....phosphorus is insanely easy to get. I can't believe you are not already overflowing with the stuff!
Aye took time of from ED and missed the Spires and the destruction of the first 7 Titans. Did participate in the Battle for Sol 3310 and got the sticker to prove itI too really enjoyed elite recently having somewhat of a 2nd life with it. With the double engineered FSD + Mass Manager experimental my new Mandalay with a practical explorer build does 86Ly on full tanksI've already got my AspX at 40ly jump range (with a 5A FSD-SCO) with the first few levels of the engineered stuff. The initial aim is to get it to 50
I assume @darkgen meant the Guardian FSD booster, which is still very much in fashion!Thats a huge grind for an out of date module there are better obtainable through other grinds
I'm not entirely sure how you get it outside of mining but then I suspect I'm doing mission rewards wrong also. I'm just having aimless fun after all.phosphorus is insanely easy to get. So when you say "double-engineered", does this mean you can also get a different engineer to Farseer and level up the same module and it all just stacks? With the double engineered FSD + Mass Manager experimental my new Mandalay with a practical explorer build does 86Ly on full tanks
My first trip out kilo Ly's (for an engineer unlock) was done on my AspX with a 40ly FSD. Times are a changing.
2 Good pointsI assume @darkgen meant the Guardian FSD booster, which is still very much in fashion!
On the subject of the FSD booster, it's always worth considering using a smaller size booster, even if you have a size 5. You'll often be able to squeeze out an extra 16 tons of cargo space (or some other use for the size 5 slot) for the loss of only one or two LY jump range.
Having fun is the aim of my game not min maxing. I'm currently blowing the crap out of pirates with a FDL with 5 plasma's apparently I should be using Frags but meh hot balls of green fire ftwI'm enjoying tinkering as opposed to professionally playing the game
Number is the "power" higher = better, letter is a sub class E =smallest/worse D=Lightest A=Best. So a 5A will jump further but need more power and a hull with a class 5 location.I do need to recheck and properly understand the primary difference between a 4A and 5A FSD but then again I'm somewhat committed now!
Double Engineered means its a special item usually a reward from a community goal/event sometimes though they can be bought form broker's after the event though. It literally has 2 engineering effects. Like improved range and fast spin up. Unlike ones you take to an engineer yourself and spend the mats upgrading with 1 effect. To confuse the issue an experimental effect can also be applied such as mass managerSo when you say "double-engineered", does this mean you can also get a different engineer to Farseer and level up the same module and it all just stacks?
The thing I was talking about is the Guardian FSD Booster, which is a module you can unlock and equip to give you longer FSD jump range. I don't think you can even install an undersized SCO FSD in your ship, and you certainly haven't, so don't worry about that for now!I do need to recheck and properly understand the primary difference between a 4A and 5A FSD but then again I'm somewhat committed now!
