*** The Official Elite: Dangerous Thread ***

If you can stay there for a decent spell they are. The last couple I have entered, the red sticks far outweigh the green sticks and I can't last for too long before having to leg it. I find High Intensity Res Sites are the money spinners now.

Yup, High Intensity Res are the way forward.

I tried to farm some PP merits in a combat zone and got jumped straight and had to leg it fast.

Now on a Thursday evening I just take a whole load of garrison stuff and keep my PP over 100 to get the bounty bonuses which I use to maximise the HI Res earnings that can top 5 to 10 million per hour.

High or Hazardous :)

Nah, this was going from full shields 100% hull, down to less than 10% hull within mere seconds.
Against three Elite Anacondas, yeah, sure... But against one or two poxy little Cobras (Competent at best) that move like Eagles, kill faster than stations and aren't even showing as shooting??

Were it just me, that'd be different, but others online at the same time were reporting the same.
Something DEFinitely up, there...
I've been exploring the core since September, currently limping home with 61% hull after I jumped in between a neutron star and red giant and my ship began to melt.

Going to be fun to see if my gimped hull and minimal shields can hold up long enough for me to escape if I'm interdicted before I can sell my data, if nothing else it should make the trip a bit more interesting...

I remember coming back after exploring and it feeling really strange to see other ships on the radar.

You're right though the idea that you have weeks of data worth millions relying on you being to a station safely is somewhat thought provoking.

Good luck. You could always do it in solo for safety.

Ooooo, that would have my bum twitching at any little yellow blocks I see on the radar :D

Good luck bud :)

Thanks for the offer guys, appreciate it :)

I think I'll decline however, in a strange way I'm sort of looking forward to the challenge of making it back in my beat up ship. Of course if it all goes horribly wrong then you've both reserved the right to point and say "ha ha!" when I come on here and cry about it :p

Still another 9K ly to travel, so I should (hopefully) make it home by the middle of next week.
