******* The "official" Essential iPad Apps thread (with stars) *******

1Password, Bento, Evernote, IMDB, Instapaper Pro, Logmein Ignition & Rowmote Pro are excellent so far. Wish there was a way to integrate 1Password into Safari though. I hate having to keep switching back and forth to log in to websites.

EDIT: Found an excellent solution to the above problem: http://help.agile.ws/1Password3/logins_bookmarklet.html

I'm interested in Logmein Ignition, how well does it work when accessing the sytem remotely? Is it worth the money over other vnc/rdp type apps?

I use it on my iPhone and it just works. If you do most of your PC access within the same LAN, I would stick with some kind of RDP/VNC client. If you do a lot of remote access of your home PC while on the road etc, it's excellent.
The main plus point is that there is no configuration to do. You install the server software on the PC you want to control and it just works.

In my iTunes wish list I have the following paid for apps (I shall buy them via the iPad and not through iTunes)

Let's Golf HD
Worms HD
Weather HD
Night Stand HD
Angry Birds HD
Pinball HD
Scrabble (though it seems to be missing Facebook games from the US version)
Air Video

Obviously once I get it I'll be adding more apps but I'm going to try and be semi sensible with spending :D

Thanks for the info :)

I've wanted that app for sooooo long on the iPhone, but I outright refuse to pay that much for 1 app.

If I was into F1 I'd be so tempted but as you say it is expensive. I am buying 8 apps for less than that when I get my iPad.

Reading the reviews of that app one makes me laugh when he says he thought it was a game and only gave it 1 star :D

Is this 'our' Feek's review of Weather Bug?

I wish there was a way to find or buy the iPad alternative for apps you currently own.

Yes, I am aware that iTunes has it's own section for iPad, but I own 80 apps and I have no idea besides searching for it specifically if some have iPad versions or if some are being updated to incorporate the iPad version.

Just bought Air Video, installed it on my PC (and iPad obviously) and it just worked. No messing about with my router or any settings, other than telling the server where my video's were.
