The *Official* Eve Online Thread

This game has some funny bugs - when I quit I had 2 accounts with under 4 days of multi character training left - I've used some PLEX to reactivate out of what ISK I have left and those accounts have now 30 days of game time and 30 days of multi character training lol.

CCP won't help with moving the one capital I have left in wormhole space though :( while unsubscribed my probing alts got moved to highsec somehow while the carrier is now logged off with an invalid fit from before the capital changes, can't even warp out of whatever I log into on that char, etc. bit off really.

I knew you'd cave :p This right here is a true addict :D Nobody quits eve, they just logout for a while.

Only logged in to check the alpha stuff - not playing the game again proper. Sorting all my assets out so I have a source of ISK for the odd roam with friends.

Well after 10+ years playing it I finally threw in the towel, I came back a few months ago but couldn't find the interest in it again, firesold all my stuff for a silly low price and have handed the keys in for my spaceships, was a great game just not for me anymore. Oh well at least got my name on the sculpture ...

I got one too... what's it all about? I can just play for free??

All accounts can now login whether you are paying for a subscription or not - but you are pretty limited in regard to what you can do in alpha (free) state verses omega (paid) state.

Alpha accounts are limited to t1 (and racial faction) ships upto cruiser size (and appropriate t1/faction weapons) and most skills other than the core competency ones are disabled. Some other ships you are also limited to only flying those that match your character's race. You also can't use things like cloaks, etc.

I'd take whatever you are giving.

I am poking my head back in on alpha mode after 9 years away, found a few 60M skill point characters I had, suppose that isn't much now in the grand scheme of things. Can only use about 4M on the alpha.

It's been a while since I played but it sounds like the alpha is just like an unlimited 14 day trial....

tempted to start a load to mine ISK to pay for my main accounts :D

Do exploration instead of mining ;) unless something has changed a lot recently this paid a lot better. And if you know what you are doing highsec Gurista 4/10's can drop shield hardeners worth around 200 mil or so fairly often. 3/10's can drop frig prop mods worth a fair bit as well.

I have a well skilled Caldari, and have just reactive it in alpha mode for now, next to no money in game.
What would be the best way and ship/module order to buy to gain cash in order to actually make enough money to fit out a well fitted cruiser?
It has been a very long time since I've played.
Currently in an ibis :)

Do some of the career missions should get you some frigs and maybe a dessie and a couple of million isk? Then go do exploration. Can start in highsec but the payoff sucks. Wormholes are better but need higher skills and you will have to constantly spam the scan button to make sure no one sneaks up on you and tries to blap you, as local doesn't show any players there unless someone talks in it.
