Mr Ra i'm keen to know where you trained overconfidence and arrogance to level5. Im also quite keen to know how how you plan to beat a navy raven, sure when facing turret ships theres a lot of skill involved in affecting transversal but other than regulating your shield boost and using the correct damage type I dont quite see what makes you so special?

Just a quick hello,
I came across these fora by chance but was impressed and have now read the whole eve thread from start to finish.
As there are only two active players in my corp,I've joined the OcUK chat channel in game, so you could well see me sitting there.
I don't say a lot but will generally reply when spoken to.

aakron how those skills of yours coming, hope your keeping them leen & focused. Are you at a point where we can have a good 1v1 without EW & be a challange for me?
The Amp/CPR stacking was a nice twist in the most recent patch & boy can it do wonders for a Cald BS. Can also be used on other ships for good/better effect then the standard cookie setups, try it on a Cyclone for instance

Hello Neo, nice to hear from you once again, my skill points have progressed and at least I can fly a BS comfortably now, i've come a long way from when I joined stk and felt a bit lost. .I dont tend to fight above inty/cruiser size 1v1s outside of the test server, I like my EW advantage too much..how would people respond if I asked for a 1v1 no turrets? Lol its a part of the game and plenty of ways to counter it either defensively or offensively. If you want to meet on Sisi i'll honour any rules set, at the moment i'm not a rich enough player to throw isk around sorry.

As long as you specialise, you'll be fine. After about 15m SP you're only diversifying into other races and production, mining etc.

11m SP here, this marks my first year in eve.
17.9m SP here'ish - took almost 4-6 months out iirc at some point, and on Valentines day my character will be 2 years old

Fighting a CN raven in a normal raven is probably the most difficult fight you will have. However, it CAN be done. Remember, that both have the same slot loadout, so a better Raven setup will beat a CN raven. I'm pretty confident I could take on any CN raven setup, except maybe if they used officer or faction mods. Even then, I'd give them one hell of a run for their money.

X large SB, thermal hardner, em hardner, Multispec harder, heavy cap injector
Either a full rack of BCS or a 2 to 3 mix of BCS and PDU/CPR.
Maybe a sheild extender in there somewhere.

For example, i thought we were having a civilised conversation regarding ship setups etc, but then you have to write some BS on that napkin, grow up mate seriously. Im not in ascn, but im not going to openly disrescpect them for no reason, sure i might yank steves chain occasionally, but thats uncalled for.

Yeah I'm beginning to tire of the counterstrike style attitude I'm seeing more of on Eve 2 years ago I moved over to Eve due to the mature community but seems like it's going downhill a bit, but it's to be expected from a succesful/popular game
