ok cool, thats what i was going to say now im part of the ocuk corp do i have to stay in isikano or can i go elsewhere? as the system i was in had boatloads of omber
 
Those are NPC's, not pie rats. And there is a corp member tanking for the mining barge. :p

AFAIK, OcUK allow you to go anywhere in the EVE universe, providing you do not provoke any hostilities that will spill over to the rest of the corporation.

I could be wrong, however :D

lol cool ill let dym confirm that, because if so ill head back to where i came from and mine omber, then save up for an osprey once i have that ill then start raking it in get myself a fighter and a hauler :D then from there on who knows

not been online much this weekend due to IRL stuff, but will be back on to put the fear of me into people (well, need to immerse myself in destroying stuff, not a good mood at the moment).

I've got uni work to do today and thought I won't be able to play Eve until i've done the work. However, this has to be one of the only games where you can:

- Get a hauler and put a Miner II on it and cargo expanders
- Find a 1.0 system
- Happily mine away with the calming music of the Eve Universe in the background
- Window the game and minimize.

From this we can see that a Badger mkII + Miner II's + Uni work = Easy mineral's and good degree (hopefully).

Unfortunately this is largely pointless becuase it can take an hour or two to fill the hold using this method, and when you've done it, it's worth about 500k even if its Scordite.

Mining = Lose.

While true it is better than nothing. The best thing to do afk is manufacture and production. Or trading.

For example, get yourself to a nice hub system, set a buy order for a rare mineral like megacyte or zydrine about 5-10% below the regional average. When it is completed set a sell order for that mineral 5-10% above the regional average.

Huzzah! 10-20% profit without doing very much. :)
 
It's well documented that I'm not a fan of mining and even though my second account character has absolute top mining skills, I can go for months and months without sucking a single rock. I figure that by being good at it, I can reduce the time needed actually doing it.

However, in times of need, it's a good way to make money. I tend to mine myself silly for a couple of weeks, make shedloads of cash and then spend it all on kit to support myself. As an example, last night I mined for three hours which has earned me a tad over 100,000,000 ISK. It's not exactly difficult to do, I can do it while reading, or watching a film and only have to drag and drop every three minutes or so.

So yes, mining is awful. It's not as bad as hauling but it comes pretty close but at least there's a benefit for doing it.

Yeah i think il be roid munching towards the end of the week. Bist and Crok are the win, nice and easy to mine without spending months training mining!

The only bummer is getting it back to empire to get the best price :P

Surely the corp can get it to empire on a freighter with an escort though (rather than an individual)?

Sure but either way it means i have to fly the frieghter, which i bloody hate doing, slow ass piece of carp. :P. Besides its about a 25minute round trip in a ceptor, gets about 50m of zyd per run.
