The *Official* Eve Online Thread

aww muffin dont hate me :( :p, im thinking of coming back for 1 month to test the water in the game, just to see if its worth me staying again, Joining a OcUK corp would be a nice choice, so ill look into that.

17 out of 50 online at once isn't that bad -- 34%!

Not everyone plays at the same time each day, I think you are going to strugle to find a corporaiton that has a member base more active than 34%.

My suggestion would be that you get back into the game, get the lie of the land maybe join up with OcUK Corporation (although we are a training corp so you might be a little over qualified) then see who would suit your playing style best - i.e. Missioning, Mining, Trading, Pirating?

Yes i see your piont but most of the 17 players didnt want to team up, about 8 of them were miners, the rest a bunch of kids literally, they were like 13, im 20, so it was a waste...but ill re-sub today and ill get back into it and see what happens, im hoping my dominix isnt useless as that was kick ass.

you see ive tried to login using my account, it wont allow me to login, so im guessing its gone for good. i guess its back to stage 1..

Actually ignore that above, it does indeed work.

so my question is it actually worth me coming back?

AND, as for corp choices, a bit of both, not really fussed or have a personal favourite at all, as long as the people im flying with arent complete twits it should be easy for both counts of PVE/PVP

they re-added password security in the last patch,
ie, upper & lower Cases are now being distinquished.
only other option is to go to the support and ask them

Guys im getting sorely tempted to rejoin OcUk would i be accepted? :p

mainly due to about 3/4 of my current active corp members leaving and the CEO never being online. And i haven't got enough SP to go PvP'ing with the active corp members.

I've gotten much better since i was last there :p gained over 1.9Mil SP since you guys last saw me in action

You need to stop corp jumping if you ever want a hope of joining more serious corporations.

whats your ingame name btw /nosy mode!
I am not saying 3 corps is "corp jumping" but skully is right, if you want to join powerhouse corps or alliances in the future you need to be careful about making your list look as bad as mine when mental wardecc'ed ocuk and the corp was temporarily disbanded! :p

It depends how you play the game, but after you've played a while your employment history probably wont really affect you getting into corps. If I ever change corps again I would only be applying to corps where I have very good friends. References are more important.

play the game how you want mate, if theres no one around for you to play with and the corps near on inactive leave and find another corp, no biggie, you wont be the first or last to do so, i've stayed in corps because i've had loyalty and it's lead to inactive periods, hence why whenever i get bored i move on, simple as.

Ribbo

I'm thinking of trying this game out again. I played it for a few weeks just after it came out thought it was OK but was busy playing SWG at the time (pre CU/NGE)

I'm trying to find a post someone made on here not to long ago which explained about the different races, starting stats etc but I can't seem to find it. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

I got a wierd problem atm,

when i get a mish and open the journal all the columns, i.e. mission name, mission type, all squish right down which is becoming annoying.

Any ideas?

Phate, it was a bug that was introduced in 3912, the best way round it is if you have a research mission or an agent offer to change to the "Offers" or "Research" tabs and back again.

Corp Management, Market and Science and Industry are all broken to some extent too.

Holy hell the tutorial is long isn't it  I think I spent about 2 1/2 hours going through it although it did go by pretty quick. Gonna do some little contracts and see how it pans out.

better than the old one
that was
"this is a roid, mine it"
"this is a NPC, shoot it"
"this is a station, dock here"
"this is the market, you get the picture?"

It looks like I may end up signing up after the trial is up. Only played a few hours so far but I'm beginning to like it. I'm only doign agent missions at the mo to get the hang of things and earn some easy money while I try and figure things out, which isn't exactly easy :(

WTF is happening on the Eve-O forums atm?

It's like World War III over something called an IPO scam and people being refunded? I'm having a dumb moment and can't understand why so many people are risking heart failure over an issue.

Granted I know nothing about the situation.
