Cool mate, ive managed to buy the mrs off with a bottle of wine so i can play eve tonight :P. Did you already add me to msn? as i had one new request last night. If not please feel free to do so danielpluck999 at hotmail dot com.

More people should be logging on shortly, so if you need any help feel free to ask them, please be aware that most of the time our members are looking at the corp channel and not the public one, so it may take a little while to get a reply :)

Will add you know to msn now. Already been accepted into your corp by Juggernaut that was quite fast.

Only a few in your channel not much going on at present. I am just mining but my "Dustbin" ship cant hold much Veldspar :-)

Excellent, Jugger is a good lad :D

It will pick up considerably over the next couple of hours, as soon as i get home il log on and sort you out a new ship, try and get your frigate/cruiser training done asap :)
 
twas me that sent you an msn request Dan, i just resubbed to Eve --this will likely be my last attempt to get into it -- and i wanted as many people as possible to talk to ! hehe

quick question, i just downloaded the game and started the 14day trial.

I am about to pick my race (step 1) later on in a few days time is it possible to re-roll (i.e. start again) without having to start another subscription or trial?

Thanks for ya help!

P.S. Anything else i should know? I have read up to page 6 on here (took me almost 1hr to do so as game was downloading).
 
Each account can hold up to 3 characters... plus you can delete your characters whenever you like...

If you need any advice then feel free to join the ocuk channel ingame (channels, 'ocuk' in the create/join selection box), and there is of course d-f-c who you can question as well (pimping the opposition :o I must be crazy!!!)
 
just 10 mins into this and all ready my eyes feel as if they are about to start to bleed!

I am finding it VERY hard to focus on the blurry (tutorial text) and the very small text (in menus) on my 19" LCD monitor.

Anyway to get this game into 1280 x 1024 res or improve this situation somehow?

Hit escape and look at the graphics tab - Run it at a lower resolution, windowed.

its quite easy to set the video resolution to whatever you need-- when you are on the character select screen, press escape and click on the graphics tab - all the supported res' are there.

BTW wow is this a complicated tutorial with a lot of info to try and hold in my head so far.

Looks good though so far.
 
its a steep learning cliff for sure, i remember being slightly overwhelmed too, but the shear potential alone was enough to make me stay... make it past the tutorial and you will play eve for quite some time methinks :p :D
