I think CCP have said that if you send them your fleet operation schedules, i.e where you're going to be say they can attempt to make sure the systems/nodes you will be in have a server to themselves or at least shared with unpoulated systems - but then since when is fleet movement easily scheduled a day or two in advance :(

thats correct, our fleet movement was scheduled in advance, the gm's knew about it.

after all we are all "bobsploithax00rs!" :D

yeh :D i knew where you guys were too, we just didnt go near to where you were, i didnt get too many kills tbh, i was in a tempest, our support was just too damn effective, most engagements i was only firing off 1 volley from my 1400II's, mind you thats enough to kill most things :D my lightly hits were nearly 400dmg with emp.

i think iron and g are in a good position atm, prolly one of the strongest postions in eve, alliances like SA were a shell and tbh needed to be bought down to earth, im really for people like d-f-c did getting out into 0.0 (although im not sure project rebirth is the best way to go about it unless they make NPC stations in 0.0 player capturable) because it makes for a better game for everyone imo, this time last year there were 4 alliances in 0.0.. now? theres loads, it's great :D

Hehe, semi accurate transcript from ts2 that night

Solo: carPload of BNC just jumped into VFK
Monk: what? BNC?
Del: BNC?
Solo: yes BNC
Monk: ribbo one of those pilots?
Solo: Dont see him atm.
Whole of ts2 server: We gotta kill ribbo.

hehe

Id agree withyou on it being a good idea for corps to move to 0.0, we have and yes it was a nightmare to begin with, but it just opens up a whole new universe (no pun intended) of play. I must admit its nice to see G and IRON make positive movements.

He he, id love it if our paths did cross, obviously 1v1 you would bbq me, but if im ever leading a fleet op and your there, your primary mate :P I don’t care if your in an ibis, your still primary ;) I’m sure our paths will cross if future, what with you being a dirty pirate and all :P. It would be pretty comical to come across you and your chums, we would certainly have a laugh about it, either way :) Agreed, before any engagement we would dedicate the fight to netty, what a legend.

Unfortunatly solarsystems can not be moved while these nodes are live, thus if there is a fleet battle in a normaly quiet solarsystem you are far more likely to run in to lag, than if it was the same solar system every monday night.

This just highlights stupidity on CCPs behalf. There has been fighting nearly constantly around most of the space the southern alliances control for at least the past fortnight.
Add into the mix the Outpost that STK created in a very obvious strategic location, and its rather inevitable that if not combat, at least large fleet ops would be taking place in the region. Even if G/IRON had retreated north as per the agreement, the agreement that ASCN and G/IRON had was for them to be out by Monday, so they were going to all fly out over the space of a couple of days in prime EU Timezone. If those systems are not on suitable server space with sufficient power to handle large fleet ops they really should have been.
Surely the GMs keep an eye on their own forums and could see what was going down?

Damn.. next time we get backstabbed, I'll be sure to send details of the backstabbing incident we didn't know was going to happen at least a fortnight in advance so we can be nice to CCP and their servers.
How often is stuff like this in Eve ever planned that far in advance, right down to system names.
First we knew about G backstabbing us was when they attacked a mining operation whilst still on positive standings with ASCN.

The GMs are employed by SIMMIN the server processes are controlled by CCP. I would imagine that the Dev's don't have time to keep up to date with all of the commings and goings of the alliances. The server process purely monitors usage of a solar system over a period of time.

Since the changing of the jumpgates to nerf Yulai there have been far more high population systems in empire... the forumulae used to decide which systems go where probably need tweaking to be able to prioritise better.

I'll quote some select pieces.....

"Reading through the forums there seems to be this common illusion that fixing things is usually just doing a single thing. That's simply wishful thinking at best, there is no "Fix" button any more than there is an "I Win" button"

"Show you how one thing can severely affect other parts of the game. For example, factory facilties use a lot of hardware resources on our SOL servers and SQL servers, which directly affects Drones, NPC's, Agents and Turrets/Effects (which is essentially combat) since those systems are also using resources on SOL servers. "

So you see, large fleets isn't the whole of the problem. Apparently copying bookmarks munchs SQL up nicely too. Read the blog, give em some slack, they are trying to fix it and like the first quote it's not as easy as pressing a button.

finally, i can blame the carebears :D :D :D

Ok then, I won't build any more ships/modules/stuff anymore..

Just remember that when you need a new ship/module/stuff

;)
No No No your doing it wrong, just build few and charge extortionat amounts for them, these people in 0.0 are loaded with isk :D

*feels evil eyes on his back* good thing i have positive sec and rarly ventur in to low sec space eh DanSolo :D

Would be interesting to see what would happen if all the "Carebears" stoped mining, selling and producion for a week or two...... *starts planning to crash market*

Hehe, its amazing the stigma attached to 0.0 space, once you have negotiated a pass/agreement with an alliance, and make it into 0.0 and not get killed by the muppet gate campers who shoot haulers all day its actually pretty safe :). I must admit i dont miss being in jita with 250 people in local, when i can be in some deadend system on my tod or in a small gang :)

Bah dont even mention security status, mine is upto a heart breaking 5.0 at the moment, really gotta do something about that ;)

I found a 0.0 system the other day with a name AND sentry guns on the gates. Made wonder why it was 0.0 and not 0.1. Had NPC stations as well.

Sakht I think?

I've a query about complexes.

I was doing a serpentis narcotics warehouse last night and was through to the final part where the stronghold was.

Was fighting the rats when someone else jumped in and went straight for the stronghold and started blowing it up. I helped him destroy it but when it blew up the only thing that dropped was a 9th tier oversees stuff.

So is it purely random what drops or did I just not click fast enough hehe.

I wired him a million anyway as he helped destroy it and I know if I got to the last part I'd be pretty annoyed someone else was there.

I never realised that other people could warp into the other parts when a player was already in them. I just assumed the respawn rate for the keyholder would be that low I'd have to time to do it all.

Because it's Empire 0.0, 0.0 dosent mean WTF PWNAGE, your looking into nothing ;)

Anyboady can come through the complex, if you require a key then there is a certain ammount of time that the gate will allow other people through(30 secs afaik). Or that person could have got a key from a previous time and used it just to get though.
Nice of you to wire some money, but if it had been low sec I'd of show him the end of my guns if he went near the bigger crates.

Sakht is always a fun place to shoot hostiles... unfortunately it's Empire 0.0 so that means you can't engage at the stargates (unless you're at war, the player you're shooting is aggressed, or he's -5.0). Defsunun has also been good for shooting too, just a couple of jumps away.

Same here on the shooting aspect of it. I pretty much gave up on the complexes because they tend to be camped and farmed, and I've got better things to do ingame than sit stationary in space waiting for hours for a keyholder to spawn, only for the key to be taken by another player who warped in 5 minutes before.
