Low sec and 0.0 complexes don't tend to be camped.

True enough, but they hold their own problems due to their location. Low-sec you have the risk of being attacked by another player for your loot, and 0.0.... well getting there can be pretty traumatic if you're not in a corp / aliance...

I think I need to get mah backside out of carebear mode.... Time to brush the dust of my t'rax, and see what happens, as I can't afford to loose my domi :/

pvping in cruisers is great fun nowerdays :D whack the 1600 plate on and away you go :D

Yeah, my T'rax setup is 5 named small neutrons, a/b, 2 named rechargers (16.5%), med armour rep II, 2 active hardeners, and a 1600mm rolled tungsten. I just don't like loosing ships :) I'm a total noob when it comes to PvP, only made one player kill in 4 months of play. At least with a 3/10 in lowsec, the worst I'll have to worry about is another cruiser-type ship....

Hmm... suddenly tempted :)

you dont even have to use 17m worth of plate, just whack a steelie on, keep the costs down :D then who cares if you've lost a 10m tops ship :D

i've got a 7m stabber that i fly around in with one of my chars, im almost waiting to get it blown up.

I'd care about loosing 10m worth of ship, I've only got 130m to my name at the moment! Better than loosing a 60m domi though :D

I’m worth 80Mil after a rampant skill buying phase, And even 12Mill setups Mallers are disposable :eek:

Mind Fox the banker has issues with loosing 50K drones :(

There are a few systems like that, they are not true 0.0, but as each system has a full status, it's just been rounded down to 0.0

Bottom line is that if it has a proper name and sentries, then it's not true 0.0

thats 13 ships!! think of the fun you could have with 13 raxes kitted in yer hanger ready to rawk :D you dont even have to use raxes, just get a vexor in another suck and f... setup with drones and your laughing :D (just takes longer to kill the ceptor or an arbitrator, a maller, you dont even have to do the plates+small guns+drones, could go for a pure gank setup with med blasters + dmg mods or a stabber with dual 220's, assault launchers, warp mwd web and nanofibres it's endless :D

it's not about being bad in pvp, it's about being up for it, far too many people run away from fights nowerdays, get stuck in and you might get a lucky result, learn something and have some fun :D

Ribbo, I'm going to give this a try, damn you! Had a play with my setup, and I can only get 3 medium neutrons on without using PDU's, so I thought I'd try 5 dual 150mm rails, 1 a/b, 2 named rechargers, med armor repII, therm/kin/exp active hardeners and a damage/tracking mod. Got 8 heavies in the belly too.

Thoughts?

EDIT:: How about a vexor for this? I've got good drone skills, so might be a better option? Suggested setups (t1) welcomed :)

Double Edit:: Just had a look on the eve forums, ships and modules. HOW many different setups do people use?! Lasers, small rails, medium rails, small and medium blasters... my head hurts!

Make sure to name your Thorax "White Van: M682 FGR" - Because they are fundamentally white vans. Common as anything, and 8 heavies' in the back to sort you out when you don't pay :D

it's all down to the following concept :

the main damage is to be done from your drones (dont use real bigguns, use preators and beserkers i believe) a couple of guns help a little but the main aim is to cap drain and scramble them, so that they cant get away or fire back and to also use the cap to aid the tank. so a vexor can do this very well (but not as good as a thorax)

the ganking setups basically to get under the optimum of bigger ships quickly, hold them there and damage them. a stabber with nano's, warp, web and mwd will reach over 3k speed, enough to catch a slow minded cepter pilot, however the lock time sucks.

using pdu's is a waste of a low slot for an armour tanking ship :D
