Well I think some 12 year old git has just ruined the game for me 
I was doing about the 5th storyline mission, carry documents to a 0.4 system - did fine, except some guy in a huuuuge ship was camped right outside the station, and killed me in about 3 shots, then pod killed me. As the documents were in the cargo bay, they are now destroyed, so I can't finish the mission, which means I can't do any more of the storyline....am I right? has this just stopped me enjoying the storyline altogether?

Never been a big mission runner myself , but won't the mission timer just run out an you'll fail the mission and have to do normal missions until another storyline mission comes up?

Have a look in the mission breifing and see if the documents are tagged "specific item" if they are not you maybe able to locate some reports, which im assuming they are on escrow/market.

Heh, we just got war dec'd by a corp of 4 
Oh and i'm Radyr in game. Been playing for 2 months, currently in USAC (Industrial corp) making shedloads of moolah while skill training towards PVP. The corp that war dec'd us has apparently been approached by several other corps in our system and requested the kill (there an anti carebear corp). Should be fun though

Do not underestimate small corporations. Our corp war dec'd a corp called The Merchant Marines. At the time they were the largest corp in the game with over 400 members. 2 weeks later, they ceased to exist.

Fought against your corp last year while ASCI (my old corp) was a member of the old Stain Allaince

Right, Ive got over my paddy about being PK'd earlier Can anyone give some good advice on scanner/object list settings (The list on the right of the screen that shows planets, ships, asteroids etc. Difficult to know what to remove from the list but not leave myself blind

No i realise...but ive been told getting into 0.0 does require a bs due to the gate camps. Once you're there its cool though.
