How long has everyone been palying EVE? What corps/alliances are you a member of?

Been playing since Beta 6. Reccently left -VI-, and am in a starter corp ATM, looking at different corps to apply for

I like my domi, but just don;t seem to be able to achieve a sustainable tank for level 4 solo missions. Normally run a similar setup to my mega posted above, but I wind up having to use 2 1600mm plates, which cuts down other options. I'd rather use the domi, but my mega just seems to cope better.

I'll have to take another look at it, and my setup.
 
t2 250's in high
5x t2 cap rechargers
2xt2 Large reps, 3 hardeners and a cap relay (or was it two... unsure..)

With he hardeners for the specific rat types I was prety much able to tank all the lvl4 guristas missions in lonetrek, and clean them out with the drones and guns....

My skills and now with t2 drones have improved a lot since then, mind you ;)
 
The only t2 stuff I can use at the moment is Armour reps, but I've used 250 rails on both mega and domi to nice effect. I normally shove an a/b or webber in one (or two) of my mids with 3 16.5% cap rechargers, but the thing that really concerns me about your setup Chris, is the lack of any armor plate. Would the 2 reps be able to keep up with, say an angel ex level 4 level, the one with all the sentry guns, or even a duo of death level 4, because I've found both those to be particularly evil in terms of dps inflicted. I can use 12 drones in the Domi, but only T1's.

I always feel.... nervous leaving the station to do a hard level 4 without a plate fitted, but I've noticed that if I can get my resistances up to 80% ish (typically 2 active hardeners for each racial damage type where possible) I can sustain things a lot longer, even if watching my armour evaporate then jump back gives me palpitations!

Current typical setup for Feek, done from memory
Highs 6x250mm rails, or dual 250's if I've got p/g to spare
Mids 1 a/b, 1 webber, 3 16.5% rechargers
Lows 1 LAR II, 1 1600mm rolled tung plate, active hardeners in the rest, with occasional 2nd LAR II and 1600mm at the expense of hardeners.

Come on the test server and I'll show you how powerful it is if you want. Granted, it's only effective at close range (~17km optimal with radios), so no long range fights; it's intended as a close quarters setup for anti-cruiser/HAC and anti-frig ops.

I was just testing the setup with a friend, so he got in his tanked Cerberus and i opened up on him at optimal with multis. Anyway, only a battleship could actually tackle me long enough for a Cerberus to kill me :)

One thing I still have to try is medium pulses... they should be a bit more effective against HACs, although wouldn't have the tracking to kill ceptors at close range...
 
Me either. Im in 0.2 aeschee! en route to a belt! At least its not my connection that has died. My VPN can be picky at times! Probs another war in 0.0....

Been playing for about 7months (i think!) And im in a corp called Shadow-Hand, we have just joined th Forsake Empire alliance and we usually reside in
IMK-K1, we're at war with .5. atm so theres quite a bit of action, although it seems recently they have started to camp gates with sniper bs's aligned to a safespot, which makes it a bit tough to gank them :o



On a side note, i've been training Gallente ship skills and have a few Thorax's to play with, now the setup im thinking of is-

5x Heavy Ion Blasters (?)
1x scram, 1x webber, 1x mwd
lows, im not so sure about, something like 1x med rep, 2x hardners (adaptive membranes?) and a CPR

any thoughts on this setup would be nice :)
 
Almost what i fit. I got for a slightly more defensive approach though...

light neutrons with AM intead of the heavies. That allows me to fit a 1600mm plate which gives me 5k armour. :)

Yeah it's a very common setup, but it seems a shame to waste that bonus to medium hybrids :D

Sounds about right, just don't forget drones(but you already knew that right ;) )

What corp are you in? I'm also in the F-E (in the British Space Corporation), and moving a few of my ships back up to IMK over the weekend :cool:
